Information icon Hello, I'm Belbury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Oasis Leisure Centre, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Facebook cannot be used as a source directly, we'd need press coverage of the Facebook statement. Hi Belbury. I run the Save Oasis Campaign. This is a legitimate edit. I am new to Wikipedia though. The Press statement was posted on both our Twitter page, as well as Facebook. How do I reference those?
I'm speaking to my local newspaper for newspaper coverage this week, so will hopefully have a press article in a few days. Is there anything I can leave on at all without a reference for now? Nmrobinson007 (talk) 17:30, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, none of my online campaign is mentioned which helped to list the Oasis, and is now fighting for the Hall? Nmrobinson007 (talk) 17:33, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia doesn't quote press releases directly, you can read the relevant policy at WP:PRSOURCE. Better to wait for the local news coverage.
I've found a Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Standard article that mentions the expected timeline for a planning application, so have added that paragraph back with that source. If the campaign has had any press coverage in the past, let me know.
If you want to write about a campaign you're involved with you will need to follow Wikipedia:Conflict of interest policy, which in this case will mean posting to Talk:Oasis Leisure Centre asking for a change to be made, rather than making the change directly. It looks like a few editors are keeping an eye on this article, myself included, so we'll be happy to help bring the article up to date. --Belbury (talk) 17:38, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have just added links and feedback on the talk part of the page. Please help us, thank you. Nmrobinson007 (talk) 18:04, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Afraid I'm not seeing any feedback from you at Talk:Oasis Leisure Centre, and your edit history shows that you haven't edited any article talk pages. You might want to try that again. Belbury (talk) 08:00, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
