Pokémon Live! images?

[edit]

Hi Nintendo Maximus, I noticed that several images you added to the Pokémon Live! page got deleted because they weren't tagged. Is there was some way I could get them (FlickR, RapidShare)? I'm rather obsessed with the musical. The main one I'd like is the all-cast photograph that used to be in the article.

Image tagging

[edit]

Please mark images you upload as fair use, public domain, etc. If you got it from the web, it's probably fair use. See Image copyright tags for more information. Andre (talk) 17:15, Dec 5, 2004 (UTC)

Pleeeease use image tags. Andre (talk) 01:03, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)

Fairly OddParents theme song lyrics

[edit]

Good song, isn't it? However, it's copyrighted by whoever does the FOP. Please stop adding the lyrics, okay? We don't want to get sued or anything. ^_^

And welcome to the Wikipedia. We can always use more contibutors. : ) --Sparky the Seventh Chaos 01:38, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC))

I'm getting fed up here

[edit]

You absolutely must tag your images. If you don't understand what I mean, ask, don't just silently upload more untagged images. If Image:CuteGroom.jpg and Image:CuteBride.jpg are your images, do you release them under the GFDL, or public domain, or what? Andre (talk) 20:37, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)

Bride and Groom

[edit]

Yes, they do indeed look cute. And it's great you're using image copyright tags now. One observation... uh, to me the groom looks so child-like as to be too young to be legally married in most places. Hm. -- Infrogmation 22:13, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

HooZoo profile?

[edit]

You may know the answer to this: What the heck's a "HooZoo profile"? I've seen them on several articles about Nickelodeon show characters, and haven't been able to figure out their source (or what "HooZoo" means). —tregoweth 18:50, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

It means "Who's who". I got the idea from a HooZoo of Disney characters. You can find it at this link: http://users.cwnet.com/xephyr/rich/dzone/hoozoo/hoozoo.html - Nintendo Maximus
Ah, now it makes sense. Do you know if the HooZoos posted here are copied from somewhere else? Because that would be a copyright violation and all... —tregoweth 20:23, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)
No, I wrote those profiles myself.

Creating redirects

[edit]

Please stop creating redirects to non-existent pages. Deleting them is getting to be a pain. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:38, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Don't worry, I'm going to write those so-called non-existent pages soon.

Wow, thanks for the huge list of synopsis you provided. I was afraid it would never get populated, as I only had the one title to go from originally. Great work, thanks again. <>Who?¿? 19:02, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

List of DuckTales episodes Hi again, just wanted to let you know, rather than making a redirect to a "new" page of an existing article, use the Move tab, at the top of the page. This way the articles history and talk pages accompany the article, and it automatically creates a redirect to the new page from the old article. As it is now, we have two pages, the old one with history, and your new one. I see no problem with the "move" other than that. I'm going to tag the new page for speedy deletion, so that the old page can be properly moved to its location. Thanks for all the other work you have done so far. <>Who?¿? 29 June 2005 09:54 (UTC)

Actually I just posted it for moving, so it will be taken care of shortly. You can do this here Wikipedia:Requested moves, if you ever need to. <>Who?¿? 29 June 2005 10:10 (UTC)

Powerpuff Girl villains

[edit]

I've been continually placing Mojo Jojo, The Rowdyruff Boys, and Princess Morbucks into the Villains category, since that's what they are. But they keep getting removed. Will whoever's doing that please cut it out?! - Nintendo Maximus

There's no source listed for the above image. Could you possibly fix that? Steve block talk 19:19, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I think it came from an interview on a website somewhere. I'm not sure where, though, and that page is probably gone by now. - User:Nintendo Maximus

Toon Disney: The Eternal Struggle

[edit]

A couple of things:

In my last rewrite of the Toon Disney article, this is the only time Jetix is mentioned:

"Jetix" (2004–present), airing at nights. Shows include Gargoyles, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, W.I.T.C.H., Dragon Booster and Get Ed."

I honestly don't see how this "make[s] it look like all of Toon Disney's fans like Jetix." Also, on the Toon Disney talk page, you [1] said]:

What, like the petition isn't substantial enough?!

No, 400 people signing a petition about a national U.S. cable network isn't substantial enough.

I'll have you know that Walt Disney created his characters for entertainment, not profit. Profit is the only reason Jetix is on Toon Disney in the first place - they just want . Entertainment was the primary reason Toon Disney was made. By putting Jetix on Toon Disney, viewers have a good enough reason to hate it and demand that it be removed.

The major reason Walt Disney, the Disney company, or any business have done anything is to make money. Disney doesn't give away Toon Disney; they charge cable and satellite companies to carry it, and their other channels (the ESPN channels, ABC Family, etc.). They show Jetix on Toon Disney because they believe it will make them more money. If for some reason showing a test pattern would make them more money than showing Jetix, you would see all test patterns, all the time. And if Jetix suddenly tanked, they would switch back to what worked before, or look for something new. It's not about entertainment; it's about money.

I'm very familiar with the history of Disney. I was a major Disney fan when I was younger; I watched DuckTales and Chip 'n' Dale, and was obsessed with the theme parks. And I used to think that Disney was just about magic and entertainment and things like that. But that's not the truth; it's about making money for stockholders.

I totally understand how you feel; I'm still annoyed that Disney Channel changed into all-preteen stuff and shows almost no old Disney stuff. There are probably many other people who feel that way. Do I wish I could say "Disney Channel used to be okay, but it sucks now" in the Disney Channel article? Sure. But it's not appropriate for the article, because it's not NPOV.

Therefore, it's the freakin' truth. Just accept it, you moron. - Nintendo Maximus

Hi, Nintendo Maximus. Callling Tregoweth a moron was pretty stupid. It could get you blocked. Second, Toon Disney could be open to suggestions. If anybody wants to fix any problems, they should e-mail the network themselves and discuss it there. Thank you. 71.111.215.224 13:25, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:CANDY02.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CANDY02.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much.

The main problem with this image is that even though it describes the image as official artwork, it doesn't state where you got the artwork from. Did you scan it, or download it from a website (if so, please specify the website). Ingoolemo talk 17:42, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cartoon Network's Live-Action Controversy

[edit]

If it is a "controversy," then there should be more evidence available than one FoxTrot strip and an online petition. Also, please remember WP:CIVIL. tregoweth 22:14, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about Inspector Gadget?! That show's article states that the Corporal Capeman character was strongly detested by the show's viewers, and if you ask me, that also sounds POV, but are you removing that?! No! And also, by refusing to have the article mention the controversy, you're making it seem like everybody in the world is OK with the decision, when that's not even true at all! So please, stop taking out the controversy mention! - Nintendo Maximus
I haven't removed that section of the Inspector Gadget article because I wasn't aware of it. But if I remember to, I'll probably take a look at it. —tregoweth (talk) 15:43, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Believe it or not, I regularly watch Cartoon Network, and also think they shouldn't show live-action shows. (Also, MTV should show music, and Disney Channel should stop showing that junk for tweens.) But you haven't shown that the "controversy" is any more than some fans online complaining. —tregoweth (talk) 21:53, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, isn't that what jumping the shark is, fans complaining online? Besides, as Nemalki points out on the article's discussion page, animation historians also believe Cartoon Network is making a mistake; doesn't that count for something? Also, you shouldn't delete the fact that Pee-Wee's Playhouse is clearly a kid's show; I've watched it, and there is no way in hell that it can be fit for Adult Swim. --Nintendo Maximus 03:30, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:CIVIL. —tregoweth (talk) 03:11, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You know, back when Pee-wee's Playhouse originally aired on CBS, they were considering rerunning it in late night. (I am totally serious.) Just FYI. —tregoweth (talk) 08:26, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't matter! It's still barely animated! Besides, whoever told you that CBS has planned rerunning Pee-Wee on late nights? I'll bet he was lying.--Nintendo Maximus 17:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I remember reading it in several newspapers and magazines. —tregoweth (talk) 21:00, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AoSMB3 episodes

[edit]

Look N.M., why did you do it? (Plainnym 15:20, 5 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I already told you! Neither of the Mario cartoons are a big enough show to warrant separate articles for the episodes. And just 'cause you think they are doesn't mean everybody agrees with you. - Nintendo Maximus

N.M., the reason why I made those is because I posted stuff about them in the trivia section, but you deleted them, leaving me no other choice! (Plainnym 21:35, 5 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Well, the notes you were posting weren't exactly encyclopediac!

They're taking a vote on the talk page. And they're saying that as long as the articles give at least the gist of the information, they're all right. (Plainnym 16:51, 7 June 2006 (UTC)) P.S. There was nothing wrong with them![reply]

Yo. I noticed that this image needed retagging, and while it appears to be a low-res screenshot, you noted that it is "original artwork." I would greatly appreciate a clarification on whether it is promotional or concept artwork, or a screenshot from in-game. For now, I tagged it with {{game-screenshot}}. Thanks and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent 21:09, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your tone in writing articles

[edit]

I've been "walking around" Wikipedia recently and I noticed that some of your articles (and some of mine you modified) don't seem to be of expected tone for an encyclopedia entry (please note that this article even contained the phrase "pissed off" which I replaced immediately). Why is this? --Plainnym 20:16, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really know. It's just a habit, I guess.--Nintendo Maximus 16:54, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've tagged List of signature phrases for speedy deletion because I believe it is a re-creation of an article that was deleted after a previous articles for deletion debate. If you wish to contest the speedy deletion of the article, add a {{hangon}} tag to the article, and write an explanation on the article's talk page. Keep in mind that the article may still be sent to AfD. --Coredesat talk. ^_^ 06:37, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles. If you continue to remove them, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Fabricationary 22:06, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A PLEA TO STOP EDITING IN2TV

[edit]

Hi Nintendo, I'm sorry there has been so much editing going on to the IN2TV Page --- I never meant to delete any of your work.

In fact, you and all the others did an EXCELLENT Job.

Truth is, I'm actually an assistant working in a production company and it's my responsibility to maintain this page and use the text that was given to me from the higher ups ---- you see, the text I've been posting is the official summary for IN2TV...And if I don't keep it secure I might lose my job!!!

So I hope you can understand that in no way am I trying to bash your work or anything --- in fact, I really appreciate how loyal you are to the page!

So Please! Please! Please! Let me post the official entry, edit free (though I know that is really not allowed).

Thank you! It would mean a lot to me...

PS: You have a lot of stuff on the net. Impressive :)

Orphaned fair use images

Thanks for uploading Image:Escargoon.jpg, Image:Tokkori.jpg, Image:TiffTuff.jpg, Image:ChefKawaski.jpg, Image:FololoFalala.jpg, Image:AnimeMetaKnight.jpg and Image:AnimeDedede2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --- RockMFR 03:32, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Rugrats.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rugrats.JPG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. There is no need to blank this page. If you believe it should be deleted then take it to AFD. This may be a useful page as it may mean we don't need pages for all of these characters, similar to WP:EPISODE advice. But by all means take to AFD if you think - I can't think there are strong pasions to keep either.Obina 16:43, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also prod has been dropped before please take to AFD for deletion review.Obina 22:08, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Fluffy (Darkwing Duck)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Fluffy (Darkwing Duck), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fair use rationale for Image:ThreeMascaritasDancing.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ThreeMascaritasDancing.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. A tag has been placed on Super Mario Compact Disco requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I have nominated Walt Disney Platinum Editions, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Walt Disney Platinum Editions. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

The article Bentina Beakley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails Wikipedia's notability guidelines.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Neelix (talk) 19:06, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Plane Crazy (stage show), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Plane Crazy (stage show). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Non-free rationale for File:InspectorGadgetXmas.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:InspectorGadgetXmas.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Peatb.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Peatb.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 08:47, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
