Thank you!

Hello Natg 19, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to correct the links in the articles about McDonald's All-American games that I am creating! Sorry if I link so many disambiguation pages, I'm a bit rusty (I haven't been editing on Wikipedia for a few years now). I am working to correct the links myself by double-checking them once the article is online, but I might miss some of them here and there. :-/ --Triple 8~enwiki (talk) 18:30, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WP:UPT and post-move cleanup.

Hello. When you move a page to a new name to create a disambiguation page, as you did at Cynthia Coffman, please always try to fix incoming links per WP:UPT to keep Wikipedia articles intact: If you do decide to boldly usurp a title, it is strongly recommended that you modify all pages that link to the old title so they will link to the new title. To do this, while on the new page bearing the old title, click on "what links here" below "toolbox" on the left. This will list all the pages linking to the old title. Once you reach this list, edit each of these pages and modify the links to the new title of the old page.

Special:WhatLinksHere/Cynthia_Coffman shows a fairly manageable list of incoming links (articles, portal pages, and books are priority): some articles may have hundreds. Thank you. --Animalparty! (talk) 04:34, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

August 2005 in sports

Hi. I came across August 2005 in sports while working through the Category:Articles to be merged after an Articles for deletion discussion backlog. I have no problems with your close as far as the discussion went, but there are some major practical issues with the close. Completing the merge is going to be a big undertaking as it will involve sorting each event from day into sport as the two lists are set up differently. Not to mention the sheer volume. Add to that the AFD was a test case for other similar articles which means that there are over 100 articles which potentially should be merged. This will be a massive time sink. Considering that one of the merge !votes was a sock and the other comment outlines my concerns would you consider changing the close. I know it was a long time ago, but I don't think there would be any issue with relisting it. If not I will be happy to take it to deletion review. AIRcorn (talk) 22:33, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Aircorn, I do not exactly remember why I closed this as merge back then and I understand your rationale. However, I do not think it is appropriate to relist an AFD from more than 1 year ago, so I think deletion review is the proper place for the discussion on this. Thanks, Natg 19 (talk) 05:56, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Had to come to you first anyway. Will ping you there so you can say your piece. AIRcorn (talk) 08:34, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Move from (Marvel Comics) to (comics)

Please note that the move you recently did was incorrect. Per WP:NCCDAB, the (comics) disambiguation is only to be used for comic books and not characters. Characters would use (character), but per WP:CRITERIA they are generally moved to (Marvel Comics) or (DC Comics), etc. Please revert your move when you get the chance.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 17:47, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reply

@Zxcvbnm:, thank you for your comment. I can see that the (comics) disambiguation is discouraged.

However, I don't understand how the "Marvel Comics" or "DC Comics" disambiguation is correct. From what I can see, both of these subjects exist in either the Marvel universe or the DC universe (not both), so extra disambiguation is unnecessary. From the naming convention at Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(comics)#Between_characters_of_different_publishers, it says to use the publisher name if the character name has been used by multiple publishers.

Therefore, I believe that U.S. Agent (comics), should be moved to "U.S. Agent (character)" instead. I am not sure where Kandor (comics) should be moved to, as it is a world / planet in a comics universe. From what I can see, it could be kept as is, as there is an article Krypton (comics).

Thanks, Natg 19 (talk) 06:22, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

You should have reverted the undiscussed page moves rather than disambiguate all the links. Now I have a lot more to clean up. —Xezbeth (talk) 07:56, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wing Nuts: Battle in the Sky

You closed the AFD for Wing Nuts: Battle in the Sky as redirect. The article was recently moved to Draft:Wing Nuts: Battle in the Sky and has been greatly expanded with multiple sources. Is this now sufficient to move back to main space and restore the article? Also see discussion on the talk page. 2600:1700:E820:1BA0:10DB:5E36:3905:928A (talk) 11:08, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Middle School DAB Pages

When creating these pages could you not create redline links to Middle Schools? Given WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES it is unlikely that any of these pages will meet notability and so the link to the school district is where people would be directed anyway and is thus sufficient. I will not be monitoring this page so if you'd like to discuss further please ping me here or leave a message on my talk page. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 23:10, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, @Barkeep49:, that makes sense to me. Natg 19 (talk) 23:45, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Natg 19. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Richard Adams (Traidcraft), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Richard Adams (Traidcraft) to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:10, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Two-way player, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Wall (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your corrections to Youth Music Theatre UK

Thanks for correcting links on the Youth Music Theatre UK page. I now know how to link to the correct page instead of disambiguation pages! You unlinked Not the End of the World link and I have now reinstated it correctly to McCaughrean novel page. I hope I have done this correctly. Best wishes, Jon Bromwich. Morgan Horse (sculpture)

This article should not be deleted. It was created in response to Wikipedia:WikiProject Public Art (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Public_Art) which aims to: " encourage the creation of accurate, informative, and up-to-date articles about public art." The Morgan Horse Sculpture is in the public domain, is prominently displayed in front of the well known Triton Museum, and is significant in the history of the museum. Additionally the artist is well known in the sculpture world, and I am in the process of creating an article about him.Wisteriagarden (talk) 16:58, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry...

I botched two consecutive pings of you here and here. No idea if you have any interest in commenting in either of them, though, since I just pinged everyone who edited the previous RM regardless of whether they were just commenting on procedural issues that wouldn't affect the current follow-up discussions. Can you help me redo some filmography pages one at a time?

Hi, Nat,

I come to you asking for assistance, I am trying to follow your example and redo some cleanup and formatting for the following filmography pages:

I am trying do what you did with the formatting for the Amzie Strickland filmography but no matter what I do I just can't seem to hit this nail on the head (plus being sick, and trying to get over it, doesn't help my plight either). If you can find some time one day here and there to lend a hand since you seem to do much faster work than I do I would be so eternally grateful. I hope you can lend your hand and talents and help me clean and tidy up a bit. Thank you for your time and consideration in my request.I'm Listening to 80s Music (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

hi natg - recommendation for Carr Fire page

[1]

Sorting by percent contained has 5% in the middle of 10% and 70%.

The leading 0 is missing somehow.

I have no idea where to recommend this so the table can be edited.

Hope this helps!

Restored the article. Most of the sources are print. Though released only in Japan, it has extensive reviews in European, and American gaming publications. There's previews and reviews in: Gamespot(online), Edge, Weekly Famitsu, Sega Saturn magazine (uk), Joypad. These are all at least 1-2 page previews and reviews, not trivial mentions. It possibly has reviews in the following but I can't confirm as of now: Sega Magazin, MAN!AC, Sega Saturn Magazine (JP). Also discussed in Retro Gamer's Bomberman retrospective. There's enough sources to take to GA or FA status. Bomberman Wars has a similar amount of sources, but I was too lazy to add more than a few. Harizotoh9 (talk) 14:11, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, sounds good. Thanks for the rework. Natg 19 (talk) 18:09, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

List of minor Marvel Comics characters response

The List of minor Marvel Comics characters page was a response to the minor characters being purged from the main character pages by Namenamenamenamename. We have to have the redirects go somewhere on this website. --Rtkat3 (talk) 01:09, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Rtkat3:, pinging @Namenamenamenamename: Okay, so from what I can tell, Namenamenamenamename has been removing minor characters from main character pages. However, I'm still not sure why we should have a separate page called List of minor Marvel Comics characters. If these characters are notable enough, they should be added to the specific character pages by letter, such as A, or B. And if they are not notable, they should not exist on Wikipedia. Natg 19 (talk) 17:14, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Argento Surfer: started a discussion here in light of a message to Namenamenamenamename about the purging from the character pages which I have also added a suggestion. Though I did do most of yesterday redirecting some of the minor Morlocks that lost their entries on the character pages to the main Morlocks page. --Rtkat3 (talk) 17:19, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
