[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Fww-oz-small.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Helpful One (Talk) (Contribs) (Review) 19:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Westlife
[edit]I've noticed your edits on Westlife and I am concerned about your edits, as follows:
- The reason why the opening sentences were put into one paragraph was to meet GA article nomination. Read the talk page for more information.
- You edits made the article sound like a for-fans read. Wikipedia:Avoid_peacock_terms
- Guest Appearances
- Given that the band has been together for 10 years, they are bound to have numerous TV apperances and it's not possible to list all of them
- Official Merchandise/PC and PS Games/Accessories
- These will be removed immediately as it constitute Advertisement.
- Record Breakers
- They can't have the most UK no.1 if 2 other bands beat them.
--Cahk (talk) 09:15, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Your Edits
[edit]I've reviewed edits you made related to Westlife. Besides the earlier talk post I made in reverting some of your edits, I want to remind you that alot of your edits are based on you being a fan of the band. However, Wiki is not for advertising nor is it a fan group.
- Word choices should be netural, for example: World of Our Own (song) - "only because of the insistent demand of fans"
- Album names: or "TLA", F2F, etc. They are not officially used by BMG UK/Ireland nor by Sony Music and thus should be removed.
- Lacking sources: Edits you made do not have citations, they are necessary for chart positions (See Westlife Talk page)
- You need to tag images that you uploaded or the Bot will remove it. See Template:Album_rationale

Your Continuous edits on Westlife
[edit]I would suggest you strongly to read the talk page of Westlife, under the section of failed GA nomination. You've added information that was exactly taken out for the purpose of making the article a GA candidate-hopeful.
I've reverted some of the edits you've made. --Cahk (talk) 20:12, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Westlife Tours
[edit]As I've put the {{splitsection}} tag on the tour section on the website for more than a week with no contests, I've split the tour section into a new article, Westlife Tours. The Westlife article is getting way too big and editing is getting increasingly difficult which is why I split it. Keep up the good work!! --Cahk (talk) 00:11, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Face To Face Tour
[edit]A tag has been placed on Face To Face Tour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Edits on Westlife-related articles
[edit]I am not sure if you noticed it or not, but your recent edits on different Westlife related articles caused words to all bunched up on one side. For example, Face to Face (Westlife album), Sony BMG Entertainment became Sony BMGEntertainment and 2006in Australia. I've checked and it has nothing to do with the typing, so I suggest you look into that and see what you've done to cause that issue.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Back Home DVD.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Back Home DVD.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:44, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Westlife
[edit]Hi there again, I wanted to let you know if you add citations to the Westlife article, could you please follow the general format for all the citations? This is for convenient sake should someone decide to ask for promotion of the article to GA standing, at which point, all the citations needs to be in the format that I've changed for the article.
Also, the use of non-english references are strongly discouraged in English Wikipedia and generally speaking, fan sites (ie. Westlife.cn should also be avoided if possible) --Cahk (talk) 21:32, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. There's no need for a picture to be placed at every sub section. Also, I've reszied several pictures so that the article length is well controlled. --Longyuano (talk) 11:27, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Westlife (album)
[edit]There's no need to repeat the tracklistings for the different album versions. Just add in footnotes to highlight the difference. Also, I've done edits to the opening texts and other portions of the page so please if you wish to undo stuff, do that to the specific area that you have in mind.
Westlife
[edit]It is still far from GA. Do all the things on my list before renominating it. When i say the lead is shocking i mean poorly written not factually inaccurate. Its also not long enough. Realist2 (talk) 17:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Expand the lead by summarising the groups actual career, what actually happened not just the sales figures. As long as what you add to the lead is already sourced in the content of the article you dont need to find sources for it as well. Expand the Mcfadden departure stuff. And remove these 1 line paragraph sentances, put them together. Realist2 (talk) 17:48, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Next remove the sub headings that are album names, you want to have there album career split into two or three sections not 12, i like the old age (with mcfadden), new age (without mcfadden) idea but thats only two splits. Really it needs 3. Think about that as your next step. Realist2 (talk) 19:20, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
You need to scrap the world record stuff at the bottom, its not in the record books so cant be official world records. Realist2 (talk) 05:06, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, those 4 headings at the bottom, delete them and adding the links instead to the "see also" section. Realist2 (talk) 12:24, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
OK, the singles of westlife is their most important achievement. Make sure every #1 singles is mentioned in the content.... sources included. Then also source the table or number #1 singles as well. Additionally add some of the beginning parts of the new age section to the mcfadden departure section. You can then point out that Westlife wasnt damaged by his departure. Many groups finish when someone quits. Realist2 (talk) 13:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:7138813x.jpg}
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:7138813x.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Please do not copy and paste from other websites
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Westlife article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page.
Orphaned non-free media (File:Sia-ep.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Sia-ep.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Minor edits and edit summary
[edit]Looking through your edits, I notice a pattern of you marking edits as being minor and not using an edit summary. Please read through Help:Minor edit and make sure all of the edits you mark as minor are minor edits. This for example, [1], is not a minor edit. Please read through Help: Edit summary and provide an edit summary with each of your edits, so other editors know why you made a certain edit. Aspects (talk) 17:12, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- So seven months later and you are making the exact same sort of edits such as this one, [2], since this edit is clearly not a minor edit. Please read through WP:WEASEL since your edit added weasel words to the article. Aspects (talk) 17:08, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
I have noticed you reverting some of my reverts of your edits. Per WP:BRD, you need to discuss instead of continually reverting. For the date format, please see the discussion at Talk:What About Now (Daughtry song)#Date format. You also keep adding the Westlife navigational template that is not necessary on the song page because it is not linked in the template. Because there is a Westlife singles template, only that template should be used on the song pages. Aspects (talk) 17:14, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Wonderland (band)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Wonderland (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 13:31, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I've also noticed that there are consistant issues with other Westlife related articles that you edit which match the issues above. Consistantly claims are main in Westlife articles for example Back Home (Westlife album) makes the claim "It was also the fifth best selling album in the UK for 2007 with 854 344" with no source and there is an almost completely unsourced section titled "Westlife v. Spice Girls" which contains WP:OR. It also has WP:MOS issues such as multiple release dates in the infobox etc.
As one the (if not the) largest contributors to these articles please try to address such issues. You have done some good work and you should be recognised for it by getting the articles through WP:GA. Even if your not interested in that its obvious your a big fan of westlife but these articles are in a poor state at the moment. Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:13, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- The information is all located on the talk page(s) of the relevent article(s). It cannot and will not be re-added into the article until it is sourced. I dont care if other articles have unsourced information, that doesn't make it right. The rules state that all information provided must be reliably sourced verifiable. Additionally WP:LEAK states that information about leaked songs should not be included unless it catches the attention of labels or the artists themselves. Finally the ASCAP is a songwriting agency and songs appearing on there could have been written and registered at any time it would be original research to claim that ASCAP leaked the song titles when in reality the information is there for the public to search for. Also youtube is a CANNOT be used to source leaked songs because that is a WP:copyright violation. Also if you had read the messages above properly you would have seen that I had clearly indicated where there are explainations of why the content was removed. Lil-unique1 (talk) 14:24, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
New issues
[edit]Blogs and non-static Tabloid newspaper websites (The mirror's constantly changing website) are not WP:reliable sources for information. Furthermore what the heck is a sideshow? You cannot add information simply because you've seen it online somewhere and now you can't find it, you think its ok to add unsourced info. Sources must be verifiable and reliable. If you cannot adhere to the rules then we actually have a problem that I might not be able to help you solve. You can use Google News to search for sources and articles to prove what you are trying to claim. Rather than outright delete the info i added it to the talk pages to give you a chance to source it. Please do not disrespect wikipedia. If you require help trying to source things then that's a different matter. Ask me and i'll glady help or use the {{help me}} template. reference removed for notability concern
[edit]Myxxd, I removed your reference to the Westlife rendition of O Holy Night under "Notable renditions" because no reason was given for its notability. This has been a concern with that section of the article, and there has been much discussion on the talkpage about it. To keep the section from being removed altogether (as it has been, after it became more of a "list of recordings" rather than ones with some notability attached), I made this edit.Udpert (talk) 06:34, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

The article Nicole Schmitz has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Ng.j (talk) 16:15, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Just wanted to say good job adding some refs, but the more the better! All quotations especially need to be referenced. Thanks again for contributing, and I hope that you will continue to improve this article. Ng.j (talk) 07:06, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Miss International country rankings
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Miss International country rankings, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Queen of Fake News
[edit]Do not create articles about living people that are entirely negative in tone and unsourced. Wikipedia has a policy of verifiability and any negative information we use must be reliably sourced, and our articles must be balanced. Stop adding unsourced trivial information to Westlife articles
[edit]This has gone on way too long. Most of what you've added to Spectrum (Westlife album) recently has been unsourced, trivial detail that only interests fans like yourself. It needs to stop, so this is your final warning. I'll be keeping a closer eye on the article and reverting anything on there added by you that is unsourced from this point on, because there is enough on there at the moment not supported by a source. If you continue, I will issue you formal template warnings and failing that, report you to an admin. All information you add to Wikipedia must be sourced per WP:V. If it's not, don't add it at all. - (talk) Greetings user User:Ss112 Ss112. I too have noticed user Myxxd has a really bad problem editing anything to do with the band Westlife. I just spent about 4 hours editing articles to lead bandmember Shane Filan's wikipedia page, edits that were largely necessary only because of user Myxxd. Also, I had to add cleanup tags to the Westlife band wikipedia article, because it was so completely sensational and over detailed. User Myxxd has not listened to you. They are continuing to add extremely large amounts of trivial information to Westlife articles, and they are doing it in a biased way. I do not think they are capable of editing anything to do with the band. Their edits are ruining the readability of the articles. I ask you to look at the edits I made to the article about Westlife lead singer Shane Filan. I spent so much time on these. I also ask that you take a look at my cleanup tags I added to the Westlife band article, and also the talk section that I started for it. Decide for yourself if you think this user is capable of neutrally and productively editing Westlife pages. Their most recent edits to the Westlife band page were made on 2019 November 24, and they were completely trivial information/bad edits. I would appreciate your help very much in this matter. [edit]December 2019
[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia. If this continues, you may be subject to sanctions including possibly a block or topic ban from Westlife. Seriously this persistent addition of unsourced and often trivial claims of fact needs to stop. Ad Orientem (talk) 02:48, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
- User:Ad Orientem You're not the first person who has warned them a "final time". I have already discussed this problem just a few days ago with another editor like you. I think a topic ban is needed for user Myxxd. They are incapable of editing anything to do with the band "Westlife". See my comments here. YouarelovedSOmuch (talk) 21:09, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @YouarelovedSOmuch: Sorry, but with rare exceptions, admins cannot unilaterally impose topic bans. They need community approval. WP:ANI is that way.
- @Ad Orientem: No apologies needed. I just think it needs to be done. Thanks for the response. This user's whole talk page is a complaint list about westlife article edits they have made, basically. How many final warnings can someone get before they become empty words? People have been saying these things to them for over ten years. They have not stopped and will not stop voluntarily. YouarelovedSOmuch (talk) 21:25, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @YouarelovedSOmuch: Not disagreeing. But admins do not have unrestricted authority. Except for narrowly defined cases covered by ACDS, we can't issue bans w/o community consensus. A block for persistent disruptive editing is, however, within our remit. -Ad Orientem (talk) 21:29, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem: I am not disagreeing with you either. I never assumed admins had unrestricted authority. I am mostly just bringing awareness to those with more power than me. I am just a regular user. YouarelovedSOmuch (talk) 21:35, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @YouarelovedSOmuch: We are all regular editors. Admins just have a few extra tools given by the community to help keep things running smoothly, with the expectation that we will use them judiciously and where practicable, with restraint. -Ad Orientem (talk) 22:32, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem: From your very first reply, I have not understood your tone. I have voiced what needs to be done, nothing more. The reason I am here, is because I spent several hours re-writing all of the article for Westlife lead singer Shane Filan, whose page was nearly unreadable due to edits by user Myxxd. When I finished rewriting the page, I realized that everything to do with Westlife, whether it be the band page, the band members' pages, or their albums, had been edited poorly in the same way, by the same user, for 10 years. In response to this, with me being just a regular user, that is, a user with out any extra tools, and with very limited knowledge, I brought it to the attention of more senior editors with more power and more knowledge, whom I had already discovered were giving final warnings to the user about similarly unsourced and trivial information. Then, when I saw you add another, new, final warning, I believed it was appropriate to point out that this had already happened to the user, ie, the warnings were not working, and the appropriate next step, whatever it may be, was needed. It was not meant as an insult to you, but as an expression and bringing-of-awareness of the fact of multiple warnings having been issued, which you may not have been aware of. So then, it was surprising to me when you said sorry to me, as though, in my frustration, I had petulantly demanded you ban them. I never assumed admins had unrestricted authority. But you responded as though I did. What I said was, user Myxxd needed to be topic-banned, for a laundry list of reasons, which I posted here for the world to see, and to multiple admins, with the hope it would bring awareness to those with "a few extra tools", or however else you would prefer to word it, and to those with more knowledge than I. From there, I had hoped an appropriate plan could start to be devised by these people, if there was one, since the warnings were going unheaded. User Drmies has already chimed in and offered valid advice, which is exactly what I am talking about. I also never said you were not a regular editor. What I said was, I was just a regular user. That is an important distinction. A regular user is someone like me, with no tools and little advanced knowledge, such as that Drmies has offered. When I, or anyone, voices their frustration about a situation to you, it is not necessarily directed at you. If there is an inherent design limitation with Wikipedia, so be it. I have done everything I know how to make it better, when it comes to this situation of user Myxxd, which is all I was ever trying to do. YouarelovedSOmuch (talk) 22:14, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

- Ad Orientem, one thing to consider is a block for being completely incommunicado. They haven't ever responded to anything on this talk page, and some serious matters have been brought up here. Myxd, if you continue to insert unsourced information, and you continue to just ignore all these notes and comments and warnings--cause it looks like you're just ignoring them--and you continue to not discuss things on article talk pages, you may well find yourself blocked for uncollaborative behavior. Drmies (talk) 21:42, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Drmies: Good point. -Ad Orientem (talk) 22:32, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem and Drmies: Myxxd has indeed continued adding unsourced material. As I said to AO, Myxxd is the type of editor who gets warned, lays low for a bit, and then continues on their merry way adding unsourced information once they think it's blown over and users have stopped paying attention to them. This is just in the last few days: [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]. It's obviously not going to stop; this has been going on for the past 10 years. Ss112 22:00, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

- @Ad Orientem: The user has again added unsourced material here. While they did provide a source, it only shows a top 100, and the user changed the reference to say "200" when the UK chart has never shown any such extensive list. They have misconstrued what information is contained at sources before. Ss112 17:02, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
