Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Carnivore (band), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 18:45, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

wp:Wikipedia is anonymous The source states such. Wikipedia, per wp:verifiability goes by what wp:reliable sources (RS) state. RS needs to be cited when adding content. The information was obtained from http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/carnivore-reforms-as-carnivore-a-d/ which states such. I don't know where you are getting this info; it is unsourced Jim1138 (talk) 19:01, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Adding references is how we ensure that content is valid. Without references, a reader can not easily validate information and there is no presumption of accuracy. See Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:footnotes. There is a tool that can help: See wp:RefToolbar/2.0. This is covered by the Wikipedia policy of wp:verifiability (WP:V). Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources (RS). Per WP:V unsourced content can be removed. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 19:01, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Carnivore (band). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 19:11, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Again, you are making a claim without sourcing it. The source above makes the statement, not Wikipedia. Cite a Source. Or, start a discussion on talk:Carnivore (band). The use of your own knowledge on Wikipedia - again see wp:no original research Jim1138 (talk) 19:17, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
See help:talk pages and wp:talk page guidelines. Jim1138 (talk) 19:19, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There are other sources that state Carnivore to A.D. http://www.metalsucks.net/2017/08/30/carnivore-reform-become-the-latest-band-to-add-a-d-to-their-moniker/ Jim1138 (talk) 19:35, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
