Information icon Hello, I'm Trey Maturin. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Tourism in New York City have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. — Trey Maturin 10:52, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
I am Deepak Awasthi. I noticed that you have removed the two external links I included in my previous message. I understand your rationale behind this decision. However, I would like to clarify that these external links were not personal links but rather ones I added to provide additional relevant information and expand on certain points. If you need further clarification on why I included these links, please feel free to respond and I will be happy to elaborate. Mr.D.Awasthi (talk) 05:49, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Snow World. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:03, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Tirupati, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. - Arjayay (talk) 10:04, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
