Articles on academic journals

[edit]

Hi, please see the journal writing guide for some useful tips. A minor detail: ISO journal abbreviations should have periods where appropriate and should not be in all CAPS. It also helps to give some indication in the article that the journal is notable, by indicating, for example, in which databases it is indexed. Finally, by using PubMed, WorldCat, or the Library of Congress database you can easily find the OCLC, LCCN, and CODEN to enter them into the infobox. Hope this helps. --Randykitty (talk) 09:41, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi again: when linking to "online access", plese use a general link that always will link to the most recent issue. Do not link directly to one specific issue, as in a few months this will not be the most recent issue anymore... Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 12:48, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Support for Learning

[edit]

Hi, I'm Bluerasberry. Molariella, thanks for creating Support for Learning!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Thanks for creating this! Cataloging academic journals is crucial for the success of Wikipedia.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

"Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of Blackwell Publishing"???? You're joking, right? At least you should try to know a bit about your employer... Could you please read the messages above and correct the new articles that you are creating? I have not too much problem with an employee of a publisher creating articles as long as they are neutral, but you're not doing them a favor by creating articles in such a way that other editors are going to tag them with "unreferenced" and "notability" tags. I guess you never check your watchlist either. So here's the deal: clean up your act, or I'll contact WB (and believe me, I know the way there) and will ask them to stop you. I have no inclination to keep cleaning up your mess behind you. And I'd appreciate a signal that you have at least seen the messages on this talk page of people trying to help you. THANKS! --Randykitty (talk) 23:54, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to let you know I have seen them.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
