April 2012
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Exponential smoothing, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 07:25, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your concern about my uncited contribution. I made corrections to the section based on my own deductions, but I have since found a site that also shows the same results I arrived at and have added a reference to it. However, it seems unnecessary for you to have reverted my changes because they were uncited when the work that they replaced was cited but incorrect. Mobeets 02:31, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
But! I have just learned that Wikipedia articles must not contain original research. So I shouldn't have made corrections to the section based on my own deductions. Unless my deductions count as "Routine calculations"? Depends who you ask, I'm guessing. Mobeets 04:47, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
Rufus Griswold
[edit]Great additions to the article at Rufus Wilmot Griswold about his relationship with Horace Binney Wallace. Could you add a page number to the citation you added, and try to format it to match the rest of the article? This is a featured article so we have to be careful. --Midnightdreary (talk) 12:34, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! I've added page numbers and fixed the format of the citations relating to Horace Binney Wallace. Sorry, I hadn't even noticed there was a convention being used in the references but now I know to look for it! --Mobeets 02:31, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
- Great job, and thanks so much! --Midnightdreary (talk) 02:53, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Regina Vater, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brazilian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Texas Wikimedians user group and meetups
[edit]Hi Jay! I'd like to let you know about, and invite you to join the proposed Texas Wikimedians user group. Also, on more of a national scale, perhaps you would like to participate at WikiConference USA.--Pharos (talk) 04:35, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Great American Wiknic 2014 - Austin
[edit]I'd like to invite you to add an Austin event for the Great American Wiknic. This year we're aiming to coalesce nationally around July 6, but any date that is convenient to your local community works as well. And don't be shy about putting something preliminary on the national Wiknic page, it all helps!--Pharos (talk) 05:14, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

The file File:Regina Vater at a Microphone.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
