Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, MoAtoum. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Yotta Solutions, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 20:07, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- Read carefully the message above and the links in it, particularly Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.
- See WP:42 and especially WP:CORP to learn the criteria a company must meet before it merits an article here. Your company does not appear to meet the criteria at this time.
- Also, further attempts to use Wikipedia as a publicity or promotion medium may lead to a block.
- As someone with a conflict of interest, your best venue for submitting an article about your own company would be Wikipedia:Articles for creation where it can be evaluated by a neutral reviewer prior to acceptance into main article space. ~Amatulić (talk) 15:19, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]In addition to the above messages, you should be aware that before any company can have an article in Wikipedia, it is necessary to show that it passes our test for notability. That is, the company must have been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Self-published material and trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. In addition, all content must be verifiable. It's quite a high entrance requirement: I hope this explanation helps. —SMALLJIM 16:47, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

Perspective
[edit]I'd like to give you some perspective on what others see when you post articles about your company. We see a web development company that just started operating this year, had no developers and designers other than the company's owner till July, and has barely any online mentions as found through a Google search (and removing the references to companies with the same name in Canada and India), yet three months later we see you claiming that it's "one of the top companies in Jordan and in the Middle East". We see you claiming that the company has earned "one award" and "five certificates" but with no indication what these are or whether they are notable themselves. In fact, I have a question about them: Are you referring to the certificates that you've earned for passing tests or completing courses?[1] I wish you well in your business, but you should understand that your claims about Yotta Solutions come across as exaggerated. In any case, it's always true that Wikipedia isn't a proper place for anyone to try to make their businesses known. —Largo Plazo (talk) 20:13, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for answering and I am really glad we are having this conversation. Firstly, my company started on May and in few months I got it ready to start working, so that's why I employed my developers and designers two months later. Secondly, mentioning the name of the company, it is a creative name that two other companies used; Yotta Solutions. The name is inspired from the word Yottabyte, which it is the biggest SI Unit: 10²⁴. I haven't noticed the other companies using this name until I was ready to launch, but it did not affect me in any single way, since the other companies (including the Canadian one that I know its owner very well) have closed years ago but the website is still open. The company is still new that didn't even reach its 6th months anniversary, but have done lots of things that we should stop on. Thirdly, I am not trying to exaggerate my company or trying to make it known by Wikipedia, because it's still new and didn't take its time to say it's not that popular, knowing that we are still working on it to make it better and building it further and further before the start of 2015. But in case you don't have that faith in our company, I dare you to find me any other IT Solutions company in Jordan that offers better services and skills than us, and I am so sure about what I am saying, since it's upgrading to the Middle East and to Worldwide also. Fourthly, I am glad you had a look on my personal website, which I haven't updated for months, but that's alright. The company collected one award and 5 certificates, including the HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL languages and Computer Science ones. I was offered to use the company name on the certificates though. And in conclusion, I have no idea how old you think I am, but the reality that I'm 18 years old, a developer, programmer and designer with years of experience. Hope you take a look on the company's website also, knowing that all the websites will be updated so soon. Please tell me what information I should add or what mistakes I have taken to get my article deleted, since I believe what I wrote is ideal to be in Wikipedia and I need it to be in this Encyclopedia. Thank you in advance, looking forward for your reply soon. (see @Largoplazo:)

- Mo, I like your spirit. Wikipedia, though, isn't a directory to every business in the world. It is especially not a rating service, making its own determination whether the quality of a business "entitles" it to a place in Wikipedia. Wikipedia is about what's "notable", and it defines notability for a business, not in terms of whether its optimistic owner gives evidence of its greatness, but mostly in terms of whether it has already received note in what we call reliable sources independent of the business. See the general notability guidelines and the specific notability guidelines for businesses and other organizations. If a business meets these guidelines, it doesn't even have to be good; it can even be notable for being really bad at what it does, for having caused harm, for having failed financially.
- If your business some day grows into a widely-reported worldwide company, then it will be reasonable for someone not related to the company (in other words, not you! the Microsoft article wasn't written by Bill Gates) to create an article about it. Until then, it isn't an "ideal" article for Wikipedia.
- You wrote "I need it to be in this Encyclopedia". This contradicts your earlier remark that "I am not trying to make it known by Wikipedia". Wikipedia is specifically not a place to create articles to meet your own needs. See the conflict of interest guidelines, to which I've previously directed you.

[edit]Thank you for your honest and great way in talking and explaining. Even though I saw lots and lots of so normal and let's say "boring" organizations here on Wikipedia, and even though I'm still sure that one article won't ruin the whole Encyclopedia, just like others. But I'm grateful for you time. And yeah, I read all of those Wiki Guides, but the great features of my company if they were added, it will look like trying to advertise my company. Like for an example "It' owned by a 18 years old developer, designer, programmer and CS senior who makes thousands of dollars monthly and owns an IT Technology company.", it sounds very interesting, right? But it will look like show-off or advertising like I mentioned before. That's what I mean. Thank you for your wishes and I hope that too. Kind Regards! (see @Largoplazo:)
- You're very welcome, I'm happy to explain. About "Like for an example "It' owned by a 18 years old developer, designer, programmer and CS senior who makes thousands of dollars monthly and owns an IT Technology company.", it sounds very interesting, right?": Indeed, it is interesting; as I mentioned, though, Wikipedia doesn't report on interesting things directly, it reports on what has been reported about them elsewhere. So we'll wait to see if enough other sources find Yotta Solutions interesting! If you look at the article for the "boring" organizations, you'll probably see that they have lots of references to other publications that discussed them. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:12, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MoAtoum, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:49, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
Sockpuppetry
[edit]It has been found that you have been using one or more accounts abusively or have edited logged out to avoid scrutiny. Please review the policy on acceptable alternate accounts. In short, alternate accounts or people to support you should not be used for the purposes of deceiving others into seeing more support for your position. It is not acceptable to use two accounts on the same article, or the same topic area, unless they are publically and plainly disclosed on both your and the other account's userpage.
Your other account(s) have been blocked indefinitely. This is your only warning. If you repeat this behaviour you will blocked from editing without further notice. Thank you. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 01:10, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
