Request reason:

I am not associated with Mangoeater1000. The entire time I've been able to edit Wikipedia has been spent struggling to manage that account's disruptive edits. I have had an email exchange with DoRD from my real email address at NYIT. I'm the only person editing from this account.

Accept reason:

Hi there. I'm really sorry about the mixup (again!) I just had a conversation with DoRD in email re. this block, and he can corroborate on your identity. Unfortunately, your account exists in no less than three blocked ranges associated with the disruptive editor, so you got caught in the crossfire once again. I'm really sorry about that. Your account should be unblocked now - Alison 01:31, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the speedy review. I'm surprised I'm in three ranges. I edit from work and home but only from this account. At home I do occasionally use a VPN though I'll refrain from doing that while editing to avoid adding even more IPs! I don't want to make your job any harder. Im not a bot, I actually did several things in that edit. I removed non-free media, and I cleaned up the references. I didnt remove any of the references I just made them cleaner and removed duplicates. Werieth (talk) 21:36, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but please leave the references as they are. I'm working on them though I'll review your changes when i have time and see if I want to incorporate them. i took out all the images to remove any non-free objections.MlaneNYIT (talk) 21:38, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see what the change is now. I'll put the references back in the way you did them myself so that I can learn how it works. Thanks! MlaneNYIT (talk) 21:46, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not one of my areas of expertise, but it looks good, as far as I can tell... GWFrog (talk) 16:03, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for checking. I suppose it will be evident in a few days if it is working or not...MlaneNYIT (talk) 17:20, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit protected requests

Hope you don't mind me interfering, but I have added an edit protected template to your request at Talk:New York Institute of Technology to attract an admin's attention, or your request could go unanswered for weeks, if not months. It will now be flagged up on a list of such requests.
If you want to suggest any further changes, you should add {{Edit protected}} at the top of your request, to add this template. - Arjayay (talk) 17:11, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And it looks like my adding it has upset User:Technical 13 - sorry - Arjayay (talk) 18:06, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'm not sure it qualifies as a merge. I did use the same source material, mostly, but I rewrote it from scratch. Though I'm not even to that stage yet, I'd still like some feedback on how it reads and whether it is too large for the main entry. The featured articles, last time I looked, at wikiprojects universites had lengthy history sections. MlaneNYIT (talk) 15:07, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
