The content defames Sion Sono’s reputation because it is not true. The only truth is this part: Sono Sion and Shuukan Josei reached a settlement on February 1, 2024, in which Shuukan Josei agreed to delete two articles from April 2022 that originally made the allegations. Since Shuukan Josei agreed to delete the articles, you should not write the same contents in Wikipedia. Thank you for your understanding. Min01f (talk) 15:35, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The article makes no judgement as to whether the allegations are true or not. But the events described (and sourced) still happened and are therefore true. If you think the way they are described in inaccurate, or not adequately balanced, then please suggest how they might be better described. But please don't just blank them as if they never occurred. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 13:45, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest the following:
Delete here
On April 5, in a video he posted on YouTube, actor Tak Sakaguchi, who has appeared in Sono's films, identified himself as the actor merely identified as "T" in the Shūkan Josei article, and confirmed he organized the drinking party that led to Sono allegedly assaulting one of the accusing actresses.[52]
reason
This is the matter of Tak Sakaguchi. So, it shouldn’t written in Sion Sono’s page.
Also the Shukan Josei article was deleted under the decision of the court, the content should not be written here.
Delete here
On April 6, Shūkan Bunshun reported that producer Haruo Umekawa, who produced Sono's Love Exposure and Himizu, has allegedly pressured actresses for sexual favors in exchange for being cast in his films.[53]
reason
Since this is the matter of Haruo Umekawa, it shouldn’t be written in this section.
He is a producer of Love Exoposure and Himizu. That’s it.
Delete here
In a statement released on April 13, 2022, actress Kiko Mizuhara said she had heard widespread rumors about Sono's sexual conduct and had been warned by a fellow actor when she was offered a role in his film.[54]
reason
This is the rumor that Kiko Mizuhara heard and the gossip magazine pick it up.
It should not be included here. This reference is unreasonable and malicious.
If you accept this suggestion, I'll make this fix. Min01f (talk) 16:28, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No one responded to my suggestions. Therefore I make this modification.
If you object to my correction, please discuss it with me and seek consensus before undoing. Min01f (talk) 05:03, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I made suggestions in replies to the editor and on the article's talk page, but received no objections. Therefore I made a modification. If you disagree with my corrections, please discuss with me and seek consensus before undoing. Min01f (talk) 05:06, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't blank content without first getting a third opinion, removing the allegations compromises the article's neutrality. I will self-revert. 🇺🇲JayCubby✡ plz edit my user pg! Talk 16:29, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
