ICDDS

Good afternoon.

Apologies for the logo, which is the logo, used on documentation as well as the website as a banner. I am a member of the ICDDS and have been authorised to put up this entry on behalf of the Institute by the General Council. The text content is from forthcoming literature and much of it is taken directly from the Institutes Constitution.

Can you reinstate forthwith please.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stepheneh (talkcontribs) 17:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good afternoon.

I am a total loss regarding the problem with this entry.

Can someone please explain the problem?

Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stepheneh (talkcontribs) 17:59, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ICDDS

Good afternoon.

May I say that I consider it a pointless and less than helpful exercise simply to mark an article up to be re-written. Without some kind of indication of your thoughts on its' need for correction, how can one possibly ensure compliance?

Thank you.

Fairchoice

I'm confused as to why you have declined this unblock request. I see no problem with the editing by Fairchoice between the reduction of his block and his reblock by JzG. The sockpuppetry allegation has not been substantiated. I was waiting for JzG to respond before making a decision - I'm surprised that you found enough information to conclude that this was a valid block. There's a discussion of the block at WP:AN - [3]. WjBscribe 23:53, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, I'm glad you unprotected the talkpage. Not the most eloquent unblock request I agree but I think the user is upset rather than trolling. WjBscribe 00:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, to be clear - I said that I have seen no evidence of his being a sockpuppet, JzG has not provided any and blocked no other accounts. But I support the unblock - if a proper sockpuppetry case can be made against the user, he can always be reblocked. WjBscribe 00:45, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tree of Life Cannabis connecion

Hello,

Thank you for your comment. I defnitely see where you are coming from and respect it. I have a fairly decent reply for you back on: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Images_and_media_for_deletion/2008_February_7#Image:Godislove.png

Also, one thing I would like to add, that is definitely POV, is that you can't make every industrial resource and completely supply every human survival need, in an environmentally friendly way, from Kites.

However you can, with what I personally view as the best candidate for a physical tree of life: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/The_Emperor_Wears_No_Clothes

1 last thing, I picked the Herman Oliphant article because I'm related to him and can most likely one-up anyone else's information on the subject.

But in general I am new here and don't want to make waves. Please excuse my earlier somewhat poor conduct as I am learning just like everyone else. In general I've also noticed I come off like a prick when I try and correct people and this is never my intent, I have great respect for wikpedia and it's editors.

Cheers, --TaylorOliphant (talk) 00:48, 11 February 2008 (UTC

Crack Pottery? The world only has one plant of so much environmentally cleansing value and you just called it Crack Pottery to link it to the tree of life. My friend, please reconsider, I think your ignorance on the subject should be reflected upon.

--TaylorOliphant (talk) 01:10, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the gentleman that wrote this: http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/2405.html is supposedly an expert (with horrible taste in web design) I can get him to say it looks like cannabis NP. It will probably take a week or two though.

One thing is for sure though sir, I am not a "crack pot". I accused the person that originally told me this of the same thing 5 years ago, and now I'm here. I will be very interested to see where you are in 5 years. =) (Sort of a joke, I'm not actually that cocky.)

Cheers/ God Bless, ---TaylorOliphant (talk) 01:36, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I was actually going to add a few more things but my browser crapped out. I'll take it as a sign to leave you alone for right now. =) --TaylorOliphant (talk) 02:00, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, on second thought. I would like to add this about your "the number of uses comment": That comment was for you only, I wasn't using wikipedia as a soapbox, and also, the uses of hemp have everything to do with what role the plant played historically. The one plant you can make everythinig from, that also grows nearly everywhere, that can feed entire populations, just might be very important to the history of the jewish people and thier esoteric traditions. --TaylorOliphant (talk) 02:06, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My posts which are pro-hemp in general are on personal talk pages and your POV can't govern mine there as far as I know. Got it?

So while I'm on the subject of POV, you'll notice that my posts to discussion groups and articles don't carry any firm POV. I've been carful because I know I am confronting a massive energetic block. You may call that crack pottery mr. Kabbalah, but I call that Kabbalah. God bless you sir --TaylorOliphant (talk) 02:12, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, in regards to your comment: “which was that I could connect any abitrary set of points from the symbol to make the resulting shape resemble some object” The information about hemp on your page proves that it is not arbitrary. “Arbitrary” is a horrible choice of words for this. Also, I am willing to bet that you can't create a specific shape that directly relates to a "Tree of Life". A bird, a kite? Those are Arbitrary indeed.

--TaylorOliphant (talk) 02:20, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the Kabbalah, as I said, it's not science as such. And I understand where you are coming from, I just ask that you realize a bird and kite have no value as a tree of life and that your making a totally unfair comparison. Other than that, keep up the good work, and look up Kaneh Bosem if you get a chance.

God Bless, --TaylorOliphant (talk) 16:11, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry. I'm not pushing the issue, I've reverted to fixing the Herman Oliphant page as that is something I seem to actually garner support for. http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Herman_Oliphant --TaylorOliphant (talk) 18:17, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks

Hi Mike (or Mr Rosoft). Thanks very much for sorting this for me. I'm tired of the trolls getting through on my IP and ruining it for the rest of us! My ISP has this wierd idea of assigning one central IP to multiple customers you see. --Capitana (talk) 12:32, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unusual turn of events

There has been an issue at an RFA here where CheckIntentPlease had brought up concerns of suspected sockpuppetry. CheckIntentPlease (CIP) was subsequently blocked. CIP wrote me through email about his/her concerns and how Snocrates had been harrassing him/her on multiple fronts (i.e., by several socks). I understand that the way s/he brought it up in the RfA was unorthodox, but in the letter s/he wrote me, s/he stated that he might have to, "use my dad's computer" which would lead me to believe that s/he is a juvenile and perhaps is not privvy to WP protocol. Anyway, I was wondering if you could unblock this user in light of recent events. Thanks for your help!--Sallicio 16:28, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr mike..plz if you can move this article to "WWBN" because it's the real name for the foundation .thanks --O.waqfi (talk) 18:42, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr mike.. the article is not intended as an advertisement or commercialism, it is intended to bring awarenes to a patent pending system called a world wide broadcast network platform system that many broadcast networks are utilizing to distribute content over public networks and the history of this platform. I intend to elaborate more on this article as the information becomes available to me by the company. It is my understanding that the patent is almost out of pending status, at this time i can be more explicit as to the information and its components. because video over the web is a new topic and it is just maturing I am dedicating myself in making these systems available as information as the information is available to me. The reason why I thought it should be moved to WWBN is bacuse the company has trademarked WWBN with the USPTO. I apologise if this has caused any confusion. thanks --morako (talk) 17:12, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The criteria describes the following for noteriaty: This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper and magazine articles, books, television documentaries, websites, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations.

Thre was a book published on the system and an article that mentions the innovation. The links are posted in the sources section. I have no affiliation with the company, so should this not be enough please delete the article.

It was my attempt at getting involved with this Wikipedia system in my field of broadcasting, although I am very interrested in the system, I guess it is not worth writing about it at this time. I will read more in reference to writing proper articles. Please remove the article. morako (talk) 13:02, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adrian Rakic

Hello, I submitted an article about Adriatica.net, because it is one of the biggest tour operators in the East Europe and thought that it would be an informative article. I received your note that it is to promotional but I only wanted to express some facts about the company. The article wasn't finished, I only just began writing it so probably this is why it looked a bit promotional. Anyway I would like you to give me another chance to try and write it proper. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adrian Rakic (talkcontribs) 13:17, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your part in dealing with these two apparent sockpuppets. I think I asked fair questions early in the discussion with Overjoyed, and encountered increasingly suspicious behavior, evasion, and "attitude", as well as rules violations, which is why I turned him in via an ANI. I note with some amusement LaSylphide's defense of his apparent other self [5] which is typical sockpuppet behavior. He apparently thought better of that, and erased it, but the history doesn't lie. The senior citizens' home is a new one. Usually it's a sibling or a roommate. One thing about sockpuppets: they come in pairs. When you launder one, sometimes the other one gets lost. Small change to Skulltag's redirect.

Could you do a quick tweak to Skulltag's redirect page, by redirecting it to [[Doom source port#Skulltag]], instead of just [[Doom source port]]? That way it will match other source port pages, such as ZDaemon and ZDoom, better.

Thanks!

Mike, would it be helpful if I tagged the user and sock accounts with sockpuppet templates? Agent007ravi is the puppet master in this instance. And anyone who attempted in adding "Dragon Ball RJ" to pages would be suspects. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 16:35, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Gotta say, I admire your devotion to AGF. I trust that you are working on the principle that if the editor devoted as much energy to contributing as they are in... adding unverifiable content, then WP stands to gain. Hi Mike. Thanks for your message, and the tone it was delivered in. I think I was probably wrong to include a statement without using a source to back it up on a page, so I've tried to rectify that with my second edit. This probably sounds silly, but your "good job" comment really made me feel pleased I was on the right track.--Emily heller (talk) 09:49, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I would advise you that I have the above editors talkpage watchlisted, and I note that upon release from his recent block the above editor is again being warned for adding unsourced content to articles. A review of todays contributions indicates that most edits are unsourced, and although the policies allow the introduction of verifiable content - that is, can be verified but not requiring contemporaneous citing - it is apparent that other editors are not going to allow this information to be kept without references. Even though I am not going to involve myself in further sanctioning this editor I do not want another cycle of complaint/block/unblock request etc. to distract other users from editing the encyclopedia; and if unchecked likely ending up in some form of dispute resolution. Is there a way we (you in the lead, with me supporting) can stop this before it becomes disruptive? I am thinking of an article probation, where Agent007ravi posts his information on the article talkpage and it only gets transferred onto the article when it is sourced. I should be glad to hear of your views, and whether this requires the effort I am considering we spend on it. LessHeard vanU (talk) 21:26, 1 March 2008 (UTC) (edit conflict - see below)[reply]

Proffiliates deletion

Greetings...I was just in the midst of getting this page setup. I saved that by accident and it was just a place holder but I am attempting to put up a properly written and formatted page for this company.

If I repost my newly created page, will it get deleted right away again or can I try to do this the correct way this time around?

Let me know. Thanks so much for your help.

I am about to put back up the proper page that I meant to submit the first time around. This is merely a long running company that has been a top 'player' in their industry for many years and though they were certainly worthy of a Wiki page...Im sure others will add to it in due time.....will this one be ok to leave up? or are there any changes/additions/subtractions you can suggest to me instead of pulling it down again (if that would be the case)?

Sockpuppet of already banned user? Let me guess, you read the sockpuppet accusation I placed on User:LBHS Cheerleader about it possibly being a sock of Bobabobabo didn't you. Not that I have a problem with someone agreeing with me, but that was actually a weak accusation that I fear may end up challenged unfortunately as it would probably be very difficult to truly prove that she is indeed a sock of Bobabobabo, and check user is probably out of the question since she's apparently using a dynamic IP now (as determined by check user Alison); she was using a static IP back in the day if it was indeed the same person (she couldn't have even used the static IP once for this recent vandalism as that IP was blocked indef about one year ago). I'm beginning to wonder if it's true myself however as this vandal has a bit different modus operandi than the Pokemon vandal from before. However, this vandal also claims to have the name "Jessica" just as Bobabobabo, and she edits with a preppy style like that of Bobabobabo. I don't know, what do you think? Also, how could I set it up for a vote to be cast so we can get LBHS Cheerleader banned so there's less question about whether this really is Bobabobabo or not. The sun is a star

I explained when I did the edit. Surprisingly many people don't know that the sun is a star and the stars are suns. For people who don't know astronomy that's the most important fact they should learn. You can't understand a star without knowing that it's like the sun. Economic + politicial policy conflicts

Curious how you explain yourself as a liberal, but then hardline say you're not communist or libertarian in economic policy. Was wondering how exactly that works. Communists and Liberals both hold a very liberal view of economics, while Libertarians and Republicans hold a very strong conservative view of economics. Do you consider yourself a Socially Liberal, Economically Moderate person? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.198.32.137 (talk) 17:06, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your clarification, Social Liberalism actually falls more in line with my beliefs as far as economic policy. I considered myself libertarian, but supported government supported healthcare/education. However I'd have to disagree on stricter gun controls (restricts individual freedom to protect oneself) and idea of a more lax support on immigration. The latter however, is more bitterness for illegal immigrants, as I have no problem with immigrants who do it legally and correctly.

Hi Mike. You deleted my new entry for DJhistory.com for no claim of notability. Can you advise me further. DJhistory is a continuing historical project which stems from a successful and well-respected book Last Night A DJ Saved My Life: The History of the Disc Jockey (A New York Times book of the year). We have licensed and archived 100s of pages of magazine articles and interview transcripts, making djhistory a considerable research resource. Its notability depends on the quality of its content and the respect the site has earnt among people interested in dance music history. You protected Portadown College for 24 hours last week after some vandalism. It needs attention again. See especially the "notable alumni" section. --John Nagle (talk) 23:54, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you for blocking the IP vandal 62.141.50.46 -- I discovered his work by accident and traced him about. I am glad he is offline for a spell. I appreciate the work you are doing here. Be well. --Ecoleetage (talk) 12:17, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zen Article

I am curious as to why you keep reverting the Zen article. The version you revert it to has much that is redundant, superfluous, unsupported and unclear, if not misleading. My edits are not vandalism but a simple move towards clarity and focusing on essentials, which given the subject matter is not only appropriate but necessary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dharma-eye (talkcontribs) 18:46, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Curious Question

I noticed that you just indef blocked User:Jbrown 932 as a vandal only account. This user edited twice yesterday according to the contributions list and has only received two warnings. Just curious as to your thinking.}} Dusticomplain/compliment 18:50, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'll agree with that one :). I'm still confused about the report, because the last edits were made yesterday...... oh well. Thanks for clarifying your thoughts. Cheers, Dusticomplain/compliment 20:09, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Wiki-internet toughguy, help me put it in proper format then because I refuse to delete it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arguecat4 (talkcontribs) 17:06, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

that was not necessary as I am in the midst of cleaning up my own list. I am checking through what I have and am referring to her OFFICIAL site for the info. I am gonna source everything I can from her own personal blog and delete the ones I can't. So please stop >.> —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arguecat4 (talkcontribs) 17:21, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Temazepam article

Mike Rosoft, will you please explain what is disruptive or vandalism in my edits? I have proofread the Temazepam article against its references over the past weeks and found numerous references to be factually misrepresented. I have applied a large series of good faith edits to the article over the past weeks, continuously proofreading against the sources. The complete set of edits of several weeks has been reverted without any discussion, without a single word of consideration to the reasons in each edit. Then it has been called disruptive, and reverted 3 times, then 3rr raised. There is still not a single word of response to the reasons given in each edit. Will you please follow the whole series of edits and check yourself against the references, before blocking me. 70.137.159.55 (talk) 18:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is this? Have you seen the edits yourself? or are you just repeating somebodies complaint? Please look yourself. A series of good edits, actually tedious proofreading of the article against the references, opening each reference and checking the facts. And you talk about page blanking, random text, disruptive edits etc. and the like hooliganism? Please! Please! This is no Kindergarten. You just failed to convince yourself of the facts.

"You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 18:37, 18 June 2008 (UTC)" 70.137.137.130 (talk) 20:43, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Rosoft: Please take a look at what I called forged references. It were articles about other substances, misrepresented as articles about temazepam. e.g. the title of the reference was "effects of flurazepam...", but in the references it was listed as "effects of temazepam...". This is a deviation from honest scientific work std. I call it forgery. Please take the effort to look at my list of edits on the history page, locate the edit, follow the PMID link, really click on it. Then you see. Conflict of interest: This is an attack ad hominem, has been claimed by Literaturegeek from the beginning and is totally unfounded. I am not "paid by drug companies". Conspiracy theorists have a big time on WP, what? 70.137.137.130 (talk) 10:52, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Besides: I have not repeatedly changed the article, being reverted. I have edited the article, then been reverted by Goodson and Literaturegeek without discussion. Take a closer look. Now they use attacks at hominem. In the previous discussions I have not touched the article, but just brought my comments to the discussion page, without any result. Now I have edited, and it has been called disruptive. Everybody who touches the article is reverted. Check the archived discussion "Follow WP guidelines" with somebody else. "RJSampson" who had largely the same complaints as I do. TheGoodson really sits on the article, together with Literaturegeek and they don't allow changes. 70.137.137.130 (talk) 11:12, 19 June 2008 (UTC) 70.137.137.130 (talk) 11:12, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Rosoft: Now you start with such hooliganism too - I would be payed by the pharm companies, conflict of interest? Can it be that you are a bit too gullible? Also I have really not done disruptive edits, check the talk page. Please convince yourself of the facts before acting. What is this, a Kindergarten? 70.137.161.241 (talk) 08:16, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just as a note Mike, I've looked into this editor's complaints and I agree with many of the points he made. This seems to be a situation where a genuine grievance has boiled up into a all-out fight. If you wanted to help with this, it would be good to have more eyes on Talk:Temazepam to enforce WP:Talk and remove all off-topic comments about other editors. Abusing Multiple Accounts

Can you please tell me what exactly is wrong with anything I've done that would lead to being blocked? I don't believe that I am being treated fairly, and haven't had any reason to think otherwise so far. Ichthyosis (talk)

MSGI

Thank you for informing me. As a point of reference, I don't know whether the term is newly coined, and if so, who by. MSGI is in use by a widespread number of activists I know and it is on that basis that I created the article for it, rather than any attempt at self-promotion. I suspect the article will be deleted this time around, but it is a futile AfD and will only need to be recreated eventually. Dev920, who misses Jeffpw. 11:41, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

False Accusation

You recently told me to stop vandalizing, however, I haven't edited any pages recently, so, I think you must be mistaken, please don't do it again, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 07ed01 (talkcontribs) 11:52, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
