Disambiguation link notification for March 12
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Uprising X, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Action (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Re:Uprising sources
Hey! Great to hear that you're undertaking this project. Uprising is an interesting subject that's been underrepresented on Wikipedia for a long time (the games were only split off into their own articles within the last year or so). I don't know how much my physical magazine collection holds anymore that isn't already scanned and online somewhere, but I can give it a look. In the meantime, here are a bunch of sources I dredged up from around the Internet:
- CGW Uprising review
- CGW Uprising 2 review
- Edge Uprising review
- CGSP Uprising review (more CGSP coverage of Uprising 1 and 2 available on this page)
- Next Generation Uprising preview
- PC Games Uprising 2 review (while the image containing the score is dead, PC Games used a letter-based scoring system that always listed the score in the file name—in this case, BM, or B-)
- Next Generation Uprising news
- Next Generation Uprising preview
- Next Generation Uprising preview
- Uprising official site
- Uprising 1 official news depot (contains links to many more reliable sources I didn't post here)
- Uprising 1 developer diary (reprinted on the official site from a dead Next Generation article)
- Uprising official breakdown
- PC Gamer US Uprising review
- PC Gamer UK Uprising 1 review
- PC Gamer UK Uprising 2 review
- PC Gaming World uprising 2 review (PC Gaming World was the British edition/sister-magazine to CGW)
- PC Zone Uprising 1 review
- PC Zone Uprising 2 review
Hopefully that's enough to help you get started. Besides checking my magazines, I might be able to find more online material tomorrow or the next day. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 08:26, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- A few more online sources. I'll try to get to my magazines tomorrow (they're somewhat disorganized right now).
- IGN Uprising X preview
- IGN Uprising 2 preview
- IGN Uprising X review (this one is an older and potentially less corrupted archive version)
- CNET Gamecenter Uprising 1 news
- CNET Gamecenter Uprising 1 preview
- GameSpot Uprising 1 preview (archived version)
- GameSpot Uprising X news
- GameSpot Uprising X review/gamespace (archived)
- PSM Magazine Uprising X review
- Uprising 2 official page
- Uprising X official page
- More coming. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 02:33, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
- Finally got to my magazines. There's a very short preview of Uprising X in Official PlayStation Magazine, but I don't seem to have the issue with the review. It was mostly likely covered in December 1998's issue, if that's any help. I was also able to locate a review for Uprising X from Electronic Gaming Monthly, but realized after the fact that the relevant issue (February 1999) is actually already available on Retromags. Their scan was better than mine, so I've just included it below:
- Staff (June 1998). "Previews; Uprising". Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine. No. 9. p. 70. — [1]
- Smith, Shawn; Sushi-X; Hager, Dean; Hsu, Dan (February 1999). "Uprising X". Electronic Gaming Monthly. No. 115. p. 177. — [2]
- Beyond that, I might be able to track down a few more online sources over time. I'll drop them here if so. Best of luck with the articles. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 04:56, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
