Notability of Militia (band)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Militia (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 13:55, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 2008[edit]

Hi, the recent edit you made to Industrial percussion has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Hi there. Nice work on the Militia article. Just so you know, I am using standard editing practice and the Wikipedia Manual of Style for the changes you see. For instance:

  • song/album titles are italicized, not bolded
  • names are never bolded
  • unless an external link directly supports a sentence or statement, it is left under the ==External links== section
  • Inline citations go directly behind a statement like this:
    • Statement needing support.<ref>[http://www.website.com Descriptive Title] - extra info</ref>
    • And then the ==References== section will automatically pick up the text if you place {{reflist}} or <references /> directly under it.

Hope this helps! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 14:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thanks for your comment on the Militia (band) articel, I'm trying to imrove it, but please show me how to do it. English is not my mother language, though I have studied it, so I try to make as less mistakes as possible. About the internal links, I thought that I used these links as often as I could and should, so please tell me what to do here to improve the article.

Thanks ! Mekanorganik (talk) 21:25, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I cannot upload the image of the cover of the Militia book Eco-Anarchic Manifesto. Can you help me please ? Could you explain (in easy terms ) how to upload an image to the Militia (band) article after the image has been put on the Commons ( Image )list of Wikipedia? I find no trouble doing this, just cannot put it in it's place in the article, seems I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks Mekanorganik (talk) 10:28, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I've found out how to get images uploaded and put in the article ( my grey brain cells actually work from time to time ) but I would like to know how to replace pictures to the right side of the page ( they always appear on the left side ) Thanks, anarchic greetings,

Frank

Wikipedia:Extended image syntax should help; I'm not that good with them, either. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 17:23, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
