Hello, Mediascriptor. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Embassy of Antigua and Barbuda".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Antigua.news moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Antigua.news. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 11:17, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, happy new year :). Is it possibile that you checked a previous version of the page I created? I already amended the page making it as neutral as possible. The page only states facts by mentioning the sources in each paragraph, which are all authoritative newspaper articles (Financial times, Reuters, etc.). Could you please check the latest version please?

Thank you in advance. Mediascriptor (talk) 12:55, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

WP:COI

[edit]

Please see WP:COI. If you have an affiliation with Antigua.news, Dario Item or other subjects you are interested in, you should disclose this by following the steps outlined in WP:DISCLOSE. Thanks, Gitz (talk) (contribs) 12:57, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gitz, thank you for your message and happy new year. I am only interested in improving the quality and quantity of information about the Antigua and Barbuda on Wikipedia. I received an invitation in joining the WikiProject Antigua and Barbuda and I am now working on a different subject. Thanks. Mediascriptor (talk) 13:24, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad to hear that, but please note that WP:COI is not about your good faith and personal motives (such as improving the quality and quantity of information about the Antigua and Barbuda). Even if you have no ulterior motives, you should disclose any significant relationship with the subject of an article you intend to edit. For example, you can make a statement in the edit summary of any COI contribution or use the template {{connected contributor}}. This will not prevent you from improving the article but will help ensure the editing process is fairer and more transparent. Gitz (talk) (contribs) 15:49, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Even if I am just member of the WikiProject Antigua and Barbuda? In case I will update the categories and make a statement regarding my membership.
I saw that you reviewed the page of Antigua.news. Do you recommend further imporovements? (I noticed the edit of the footnote about the journalist of the Financial Times. I will amend it in order to be more precise). Thanks Mediascriptor (talk) 16:07, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, being a member of a WikiProject does not create a COI. A COI is created only by an external relationship with the subject. You don't need to disclose any personal information: just use common sense: if you have a significant off-Wiki relationship with the subject, please make it clear.
