[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "NBS.Ivey", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Just plain Bill (talk) 20:20, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Clarifying conflict of interest

[edit]

Thanks so much for the explanation, Just plain Bill.

I would like to make sure that I am clear on the conflict of interest guidelines as they apply to our situation.

The Network for Business Sustainability is a knowledge hub for evidence-based research on business sustainability. Most of our content is produced by academic researchers; it is not intended to advance any commercial agenda.

We would like to integrate some of the NBS resources and findings into Wikipedia.

I don't see that as a conflict of interest, but please tell me if I'm missing something.

Otherwise — I have applied for an individual name (rather than the NBS.Ivey generic name), and would like to proceed in making changes. Please tell me if you see any obstacles that I'm missing!

Thanks for your work shepherding Wikipedia. NBS.Ivey (talk) 12:12, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Your post at Talk:Dialogue

[edit]

Hello Mayaf - NBSIvey, just a quick note (no big deal): Talk:Dialogue is only for discussions about the article Dialogue itself, not for dialogues in general about other articles and issues. If you'd like to discuss article-related issues, please use the specific article talkpages (Talk:article name here) or contact the users directly on their user talkpage (I have removed the misplaced message already). Regarding the COI-related question, please make sure to read WP:COI first - most aspects should be explained there. If you have further questions about Wikipedia editing and processes in general, please feel free to ask at WP:Teahouse (a forum for new editors). Volunteers there will be glad to help. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:The Network for Business Sustainability, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:24, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Network for Business Sustainability, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. signed, Rosguill talk 23:49, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
