File permission problem with File:Naa bangaru talli.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Naa bangaru talli.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 12:12, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
Na Bangaaru Talli
[edit]My intention was not to push POV but I was completely unaware that the Malayalam version was just a dubbed one. Moreover this link mentions that Na Bangaaru Talli is the Telugu version of the Malayalam film Ente. - Malayala Sahityam (talk) 18:35, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- Also see the review of Ente by The Hindu. The reviewer writes that [...] "the director [of the film] was preoccupied by the thought that he also has to bring out a Telugu version of the movie." I haven't watched the Malayalam version but I believe it was an original film, not a dubbed version. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 18:45, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- I guess this link from The Hindu clarifies everything. The film was simultaneously made in Malayalam and Telugu under different titles.
I have already removed the mention of "remake" from both the articles. The film was a bilingual, not like Eega (which was originally made in Telugu), but like like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Ye Maaya Chesave, made in two different languages simultaneously. We can have two separate articles since the films were separately made. But I do doubt whether the film was simultaneously made, because this link which was published after the release of Malayalam version, only talks about a possible Telugu version to be made in future. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 19:09, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- Films can be sent to DFF before they get theatrical release. Some of the best films that won national awards were never released in theatres. Tamil movie Aadum Koothu is one example that I can remember. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 19:41, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living person, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 10:37, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
Caste
[edit]I am having to clean up dozens of unverified, WP:BLP-defying claims of caste origins inserted by you at articles such asNarayana Kocherlakota. Stop, now. If you do not understand how Wikipedia treats caste claims then don't add them to articles, please. - Sitush (talk) 18:11, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Reply >>what you have to work on is 1) don't update misleading info on wiki if you can't able to interpret what you read from books, don't apply your book knowledge everywhere. 2) reduce your head weight, helps you in personal front. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Varmapak (talk • contribs) 20:15, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

April 2014
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Liar's dice a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The file File:Nicole amy madell model.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Uploaded for Nicole Amy Madell. No other use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 15:31, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
