Hello

[edit]

Hi Marwatt, I'm Royalguard11, an AMA member. I'm glad that you've joined the team. I have a few recomendations for you. The AMA communicated by using a template {{AMA alerts}} on our talk pages. It tells us when there are cases that need advocates and the like. We also have an IRC channel that will alert us to new cases. If you would like to jump right in, you can head over to WP:AMARQ and see the new cases at the bottom. If you'd like to tag along and observe a case first, just look under the open cases and ask an advocate if you can help and observe. Again, welcome to the AMA! -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk) 03:01, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Your removal of Stamp Images from Nishan-e-Haider Pages

[edit]

Hi Marwatt, Can you please provide a reference which shows the Govt of Pakistan doesn't mind images of its stamps being used online? I am just making sure that the fair use criteria is not abused indiscriminately. Stamps are supposed to be used in Philatelic articles to illustrate the stamp itself, rather than its subject. It doesn't allow using the stamp as a replacement of an image in biography pages. I do have all the respect for the valiant soldiers who received Nishan-e-Haider, however it should be easy for you to find images which can be used under "fair use" criteria. Stamps, unfortunately, cannot be used as such. Please refer to the comments and discussion in the administrator's noticeboard. Thank you. --Ragib 15:09, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you are receiving this message because you have listed yourself as an active member of WP:AMA. If you aren't currently accepting inquiries for AMA, or if you have resigned, please de-list yourself from Wikipedia:AMA Members. If you are still active, please consider tending to any new requests that may appear on Category:AMA Requests for Assistance. We're going to put AMA on wheels. :) Sorry for the template spamming - we're just trying to update our records, after we had a huge backlog earlier in the week (if you've been taking cases, then sorry, and please ignore this :)). Again, sorry, and thanks! Martinp23 21:06, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute tags and blatant vandalism

[edit]

Hi, could I clarify the situation regarding simple (otherwise known as blatant) vandalism, according to WP:VANDAL "note that placing or removal of dispute tags does not count as simple vandalism". In this context, the template you placed on A. M. Khan's user page was not appropriate and I have removed it. Regarding the article in question, I have added some more links to the article, cleaned up the text and removed the appropriate templates. Addhoc 11:49, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Describing other editors in a content dispute as vandals...

[edit]

Hi, in a content dispute could you avoid describing other editors as vandals, as you did here. It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! Addhoc 10:49, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Be a polite and sicnere on on Wikipedia.

[edit]

I don't know what makes you running away from discussing the edits. If you really feel you are true person then please be a true one and discuss your editions. A M. Khan 14:35, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Waiting for your reply.

[edit]

Your recent request for checkuser

[edit]

You recently compiled and listed a case at requests for checkuser. A checkuser or clerk has requested you supply one or more diffs to justify the use of the checkuser procedure in the case, in accordance with the procedures listed in the table at the top of the requests for checkuser page. For an outcome to be achieved, we require that you provide these diffs as soon as possible. This has been implemented to reduce difficulties for checkusers, and is essential for your case to be processed. A link to your recently-created case which has this information missing is here. Thanks for your co-operation. Daniel.Bryant T · C ] 07:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC), checkuser clerk.[reply]

Re: article Marwat

[edit]

Hello and welcome to wikipedia! I see that you have been involved in editing the Wikipedia article Marwat. I see that you have frequently reverted edits on this page. I would like to remind you of the Three Revert Rule. If you do not follow this rule, you may be blocked from Wikipedia. I would also like to ask that you refrain from editing Wikipedia to prove a point. Disrupting Wikipedia to prove a point is not just disruptive, it threatens the integrity of the wiki. I would also like to ask that you remember WP:CIVIL applies to edit summaries too. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. Cheers! -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 17:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marwatt. Thanks for the message. I am a bit aware of the edit conflict between you and A M. Khan. I know that his behaviour was questionable as per his confessions. Let's find out and look for solutions now.
I read at the article talk page a comment made by Addhoc here. I find it very reasonable. List your concerns about the article content first and then try to sort them out one by one. That would take some time, i know, but that's simpliest procedure to deal w/ edit warring. I'll be watching the discussion and woudl intervene when needed. -- Szvest 20:37, 8 November 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up ®[reply]
First of all, my brother User:Marwatt, let me ensure you that I am not succeeded in anything. It is my faith "Emaan" that truth succeeds. I always has invited you for a discussion, debate and negotitations, evidence for this is talk page. Here, I also won't criticise you for calling an Additional Secretary a petty. About Stick issue,I have already replied you. As far as becoming member of Esperanza" is concerned, I think if I am uneligble for it, I will surely be deleted by Adminitsration specially by User: FayssalF. But you must do me a favour by applogizing me for whatever I did wrong in the past, it is my kind request to you. I assure, Insha Allah, from onwards you won't find anything wrong in me. At the end, I warmly welcome User: FayssalF for becoming a third-party by watching, noticing and observing. This will surely maintain the artilce Marwat a credible one.

Welcome to Esperanza!

[edit]

Welcome, Marwatt, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Answer to ""Stop This Drama""

I am extremely greatful, thankful and kindful to you, after I have been given an apollogy by you.

But my brother and Wiki-Mate, don't target Wikipedia by talking of a loophole. If you have something against me, go ahead, I won't mind, byt calling something against WP, will surely hurt many people, that is unfair. As far as Akhtar Munir Marwat is concerned, he is quite famous and quite noteable Marwat. I agree that he dosen't match WP:BIO but I also assure you that in section Noteable Marwats, there must be a place for him, as he 100% fits for it. For your satisfaction, I can even satisfy you with full of my efforts under WP:Policy. I also would like to adivce you that instead of targetting Akhtar Munir Marwat and challenging me for his entry, you must forget personal enmity with him and his family and you must start talking in discussion page. Discussion will surely help, I assure. Believe me, at the end let me ensure, that I am having still good intentions for you, even you tried to kcik me out of WP. I respect you, because this world will end and nothing iwll remain here so what to fight for?

CheckUser

[edit]

Please read up on CheckUser and Help:CheckUser. I didn't "decide" on anything, I merely interpreted the echnical data, looking at the users' IP addresses. You are welcome to ask for administrator intervention against the accounts anyway, if you think the behavior overrides that. See WP:ANI. Dmcdevit·t 08:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mediation

[edit]

This message is both for you Marwatt and A M. Khan...

Let's go step by step:

  • I'll read the article and leave notes on its talk page. I'll look for POV's and unsourced material and give you my judgement.
  • A M. Khan, if you have been using sockpuppets declare it, renounce it, delete them, apologize and promise it will never happen again.
  • I'll be blocking anyone who does not abide by WP:CIVIL.

I hope this will ease tensions and sort out other potential problems in the future. -- Szvest 08:55, 9 November 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up ®[reply]

Hi Marwatt. I am sorry that you feel unhappy w/ Khan's comments but i hope you take it easy because it is all around the edit conflict in the article. I just don't give attention to what one says or thinks about the other.
Now, as i get to know that Akhtar Munir Marwat handles many positions, i'd consider him worthy for inclusion in the article. However, i'd not support a creation of an article about him. He is then notable among Marwats but not notable for inclusion in wikipedia as per WP:Notability.
What i'd ask from you now is to accept this middle ground to sort this issue out for once. If you are not feeling satisfied w/ my opinion than i'd like to see another opinion of another admin. Is that okay w/ you? -- Szvest 14:37, 10 November 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up ®[reply]
Thanks for the prompt reply and your confidence. I appreciate that. True that i am not an expert on the issue on hand but after finding out that Akhtar Munir Khan has been/was handling several functions (i.e. Member of the Board of Governors of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, MD Provincial Urban Development Board, Head of the taskforce to counter suicide bombing, etc...) i thought he is worthy to be mentioned among notable Marwats. Note that i am not even mentioning his function as secretary Additional Secretary, which for me is not notable as a function but i mention the other ones. On the other hand, having an article about him is questionable and i personally wouldn't support that as per WP:Notability.
Thanks again for your understanding and cooperation. I'll unprotect the article now and if there are any problems later please let me know. Feel free to contact me if you need any kind of help in the future. -- Szvest 17:21, 10 November 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up ®[reply]

Hi again Marwatt. I can't prevent any user from editing any article in wikipedia as anyone can edit. But of course i can prevent POV pushers and vandals from doing so. Once i observe that i will surely deal w/ it. No worries. -- Szvest 23:34, 10 November 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up ®[reply]

Thanks for the barnstar. Much appreciated and thanks for your cooperation and understanding. -- Szvest 17:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up ®[reply]
