Hennessey Article
Please stop deleting this article while I'm still working on it. I posted a "hangon" tag and inserted discussion onto the discussion page, yet you still immediately deleted my article. Elambeth (talk) 21:23, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Elambeth, I noted the hangon tag, but the article was just a description of what was sold, with the contact information of the company. To me it looked clearly as a means of attracting interest in the company. That makes it inadmissable. If you recreate the article, try to do it from a different point of view: Why is the company important, what impact does the company have on society, and provide sources for those claims. That way it will not look as much as advertising as it did when I found it. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 21:29, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Sources
The most respectable encyclopedia in the English language doesn't provide sources for such short articles, so why should we have that unpleasant mark there suggesting to mediocre users that what we write is unuseful? But this is just my opinion. Ciao and good work! --'''Attilios''' (talk) 18:37, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Christophe Kinet
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags as you did with Christophe Kinet. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 20:59, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- I think you may have the wrong idea about speedy deletion tags. You can tag an article for speedy deletion if you believe it meets the criteria for speedy deletion. If any user other than the articles creator believes it shouldn't be speedily deleted, the speedy deletion is rejected. Let me know if you have any other questions about it. I see you banned User talk:Kenfuruta and I have been seeking input on addressing this problems (see: User talk:Apparition11#Jess Nevins and User talk:Hiding#Thoughts). The editor could be a useful contributor but it looks like they have now registered the first account and two sock puppets and used anonymous IPs to edit the same page with the same type of material all, apparently, as part of a class they are teaching. You can reply here over on the other talk pages if you want to add an suggestions. (Emperor (talk) 14:46, 28 April 2009 (UTC))
