Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I notice you have have contributed quite a bit of high-quality information about debugging and embedded systems, and we at Wikipedia thank you for your contributions. One small quibble: I removed your links to:

  • CoWare, a provider of standard-based (SystemC) Virtual Platform solutions integrated within an ESL (Electronic System Level) methodology.
  • Virtio, a company making virtual platforms for software development, was acquired by Synopsys in May 2006.
  • www.synopsys.com/virtualplatform Synopsys DesignWare® Virtual Platform Products page.
  • www.debugging-guide.com - references to tools, books, papers, events, and links on debugging

from the articles on Virtual platform and Debugging. Let's help keep Wikipedia neutral and unbiased by leaving out links to commercial and small/unbiased sites where it is not clear they belong. We prefer to use links to Wikipedia articles, not to external articles, when possible, to avoid the issue. If you have any questions, feel free to reply on my talk page or ask at the WP:PUMP. Virtual Platforms

[edit]

re: your removal of commercial links on 'virtual platform'

I strongly disagree with your removal, since the page makes little sense without references to the major competitors in the field. The 2 links that you left, VMware and Xen, were originally listed by me as examples of a subgroup for virtual platforms.

please take a look at the 'virtual platform' page again: another contributor also thought the page made little sense and immediately added his list.

So, as a compromise: How about a list for 'Suppliers', instead of listing the commercial players under 'External Links'?

I don't know enough about the topic to say, so if you re-add the material I won't remove it. But if you want to be sure what the right thing to do is, it'd be better to ask at http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Help_desk (yes, the help desk, not the reference desk.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on LISA (programming language) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ray-Ban Wayfarer may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

MX-5

[edit]

Thank you for your recent changes to the Mazda MX-5 article. However, the reference http://www.mazdagabriel.com/en/mazda_newcars/fiche/mx5 gives a 404 not found error. Do you have the correct link? Thanks.  Stepho  talk  00:59, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mazda MX-5, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page FCA. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
