- Sure. There are several articles about my band Yacht Rock Revue in Rolling Stone, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, etc where I am mentioned by name. I also just did an interview about guitar amps for Billboard. Would any of those sources with links be helpful? Mark Dannells (talk) 19:48, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Mr. Dannells, and hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day. You asked a question on my user talk, but I will reply here (under Theroadislong's declining your draft) to keep everything about your draft in one place. As for anything else to consider
, please kindly read An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing, then seriously consider if you still want an article whose content you will have almost no control over. If the answer is still "yes", my suggestion is to familiarize yourself with common problems people have had with Wikipedia articles about them by reading the article subjects FAQ. Thank you. - Please note that the article about your band Yacht Rock Revue is totally unsourced and promotional with no indication of passing WP:NBAND. Theroadislong (talk) 21:03, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Mark Dannells, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Draft:Mark Dannells, which appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.
As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.
