Q*bert (series) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Q*bert (series), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Q*bert (franchise)

[edit]

Hello Marisoft69,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Q*bert (franchise) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Q*bert into Q*bert (franchise). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 23:16, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Plants vs. Zombies (comic), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Limited series. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Lethal Company edit

[edit]

I hope your day's going great. Today, you made an edit to Lethal Company about its colab with Fortnite. The only source you gave was of a tweet announcing the colab without much information; this is a primary source and original research. One tweet is not good enough. I'm currently on my mobile phone right now and am planning on sleeping, so I'm asking if it'd be possible for you to add a reliable source on my behalf to fix the sourcing.

To save you some time, I've found a source for you. Go see this link

Changes to infoboxes

[edit]

Hi Marisoft69, I reverted your change on Mach Five, and you reverted it back. My concern is that you're removing information from the infobox -- for example, the publisher (Tatsunoko Productions), date of first appearance (1967) and genre (science fiction). I don't see how your new infobox is an improvement over what it was. What do you think? Toughpigs (talk) 03:16, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And the same thing on Jon Arbuckle -- you're taking out information like "occupation: cartoonist", and you're messing up family / significant other / relatives lists by turning them into "partnerships" and "supporting character of" which don't even make sense. Why are you doing this? Toughpigs (talk) 03:20, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again Toughpigs, talking about the changes to the information box it is very simple and it is that Jon is a comic character, that is, comic strips, so the information box is for comic book characters, unfortunately I had to remove some elements since the information box for that category is very sparse, so I had to do it since I think it is correct but unfortunately there are no elements that do justice to the character of Jon from Garfield, I am sorry about that, with all this said, thanks for the message. Marisoft69 (talk) 03:34, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Toughpigs I know how you feel but I think that the Mach 5 is a vehicle not an item and the thing is that I think that it is an incorrect infobox since there is an information box which is "Fictional Vehicles" so one thing is to consider the Mach 5 of Meteor as a vehicle and another to put it as an Artifact, they are not the same and what worries you the most is very simple if you go to "fictional vehicles information box" you will notice that the gender and company in this case publisher are absent so I feel the changes but I know that is incorrect do not be offended it is the truth, goodbye and thanks for the chat. Marisoft69 (talk) 03:28, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that makes sense. It doesn't really matter which infobox is being used, as long as the information is presented in a useful way. You are removing useful information from the articles. Toughpigs (talk) 03:33, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
all right thank you for you opinion Marisoft69 (talk) 03:35, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Same thing on The Simpsons. That infobox should link to The Tracey Ullman Show, because that is where the characters originated. Taking that link out of the infobox doesn't make sense. Your sense of "correctness" is leading you to remove useful content. Toughpigs (talk) 03:44, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The answer is in your account, please read it. Marisoft69 (talk) 03:49, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for continuing to speak with me about it. It seems like you and I will simply not agree about removing content on these pages. In that case, the correct thing to do is:
  • leave the infoboxes as they were before you made the change
  • start a discussion on each article talk page about the change that you want to make
Then we can get opinions from other editors about whether to make those changes. Are you willing to do that? Toughpigs (talk) 03:53, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I respect your opinion Marisoft69 (talk) 03:55, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The weird case of Pachinko

[edit]

While I get they're an odd case, I feel those do count as video games as they were, and the fact they fall under the video game project does seem to confirm that. If it was just imagery on the sides I could agree it's other media but given its used in a way to correlate to gameplay...it feels like it should count?

Also why did you move the whole fighting gameplay paragraph? Was that just a goof? Kung Fu Man (talk) 12:25, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kung Fu Man You are talking about something that has nothing to do with which are card games and panchinko since they are little machines and even though they have screens, they do not contain buttons or levers, they are like Japanese pinball, thanks for the message. Marisoft69 (talk) 15:23, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I still feel it counts enough under gaming and not promotion. I've renamed the section to "in other games", I feel that should remove the issue?--Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:26, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kung Fu Man yeah for the article say other video games not other games what Is the sence. Marisoft69 (talk) 15:35, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

[edit]

All content additions must be supported by a reliable source per WP:V. You've been warned a bunch of times, but still haven't stopped. If f it happens again, your account will be temporarily blocked from editing.

If you need help with this, see WP:REFB. But continuing to ignore this policy is not an option. Sergecross73 msg me 10:38, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Examples Please Marisoft69 (talk) 02:16, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This edit right here you made less than a day ago. You need to add a reliable source for this. If you can't find a source, then you can't add the info. Sergecross73 msg me 03:54, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying or asking for on my talk page, but as I mentioned above, it's very simple. We must follow WP:V. That means all content additions require a reliable source to verify that information. If you can't find a source to verify the information, do not add that information. If you can't follow this very basic rule, your account will be blocked from editing the English Wikipedia. Sergecross73 msg me 13:14, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
