The Jiret Peace and Reconciliation Organization (JPRO) is a non- governmental organization founded in 2023 that works in various regions of Ethiopia.
JPRO partners with local communities to promote peaceful coexistence, empower marginalized communities, and strengthen youth and women in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
The organization is dedicated to community-based principles and focuses on long-term sustainable peaceful coexistence.
THEMATIC AREAS
JPRO has 5 thematic areas • Human Right: We promote and work on Peace Building, Conflict Resolution and Peace Education for all. •Livelihood and Women Empowerment. •Youth job opportunity creation: We mobilize and make awareness for the youth on job creation and participation in socioeconomic activities and we provide psychological support for children living in conflict affected areas.
•Climate Action.
•Responding to Emergencies and Humanitarian crises.
