Writing about fiction

[edit]

Hi there Mancer. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you continue to contribute. However, so you know, Wikipedia has a lot of policies and guidelines about how one should write an encyclopedia, that may not be immediately obvious to a newcomer. I wanted to make sure you know, because as you're currently editing, you'll likely see much of your information deleted.

Please look over Wikipedia's guide to writing about fictional content and the guide for the appropriate length of writing plot summaries. The short version is, plot summaries on Wikipedia are supposed to be shorter, general overviews of stories, just hitting the main plot-points of a video game/book/film/etc. It's not supposed to capture all the little "play by play" details, where every little action is covered. And in general, the story should generally be just a small fraction of the article - encyclopedias put more emphasis on documenting things like the game's creation and reception over re-telling its story.

I won't remove your information for now, but I highly recommend thinking about trimming down the detail in the writing before someone comes in and just removes it all, which is a common thing that happens when people add massive plot sections.
