Your edits to this tempalte left about 400 articles unsourced. Could you please explain what you are trying to achive and I will do that for you? --Muhandes (talk) 14:32, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was trying to update the university rankings as most of Indian universities ranking are 2-3 years old. The current ranking is of 2022-2023, but the current wiki page shows ranking 2019-2020. Mahasish (talk) 17:12, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's a noble cause, you have my support. I suppose you didn't see the messages at the top of the page saying:
  • Do not add new rankings to the template without discussing them on the talk page, or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Education in India.
  • When a ranking is published for a new year, do not remove the existing one, as this invalidates existing references used in articles. Instead, add the new year in addition to the exiting one. If you are not sure how to do that, ask for help on the talk page.
Anyway, I got the template protected so this will not repeat.
On the subject itself, updating all rankings to the newsest versions is a huge task so I started by updating the international rankings (QS, THE and ARWU). Can I expect you to now go over the 500 or so articles using those international rankings and update them to the latest rankings? Once you are done we can move on to other rankings. A sudden silence from your side. Do you intend to actually update some articles, or were you here just to promote one institute? --Muhandes (talk) 13:37, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Going over 500 or more articles requires a lot of time and effort. It is doable if this is a full-time job, usually people can take responsibility for 4-5 pages to update on a regular basis from their extra time. However, I realize that Wikipedia doesn't work like that and that is why you can revert back all the changes I made. Sorry about that. Mahasish (talk) 19:33, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
