Speedy deletion nomination of For Those about to Rap'e
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on For Those about to Rap'e requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. (talk) 21:11, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi Marc. Sorry if my reverts are causing you trouble, but Wikipedia has certain rules that need to be followed (well, sort of). The biggest problem is that you're attempting to make changes to long-standing content without providing any references. Even if you're who you say you are (and I certainly believe you), even if you and Sickie and Steve are working together on the article, you still need to cite sources for the changes you're making (See WP:V, WP:NOR, and WP:VNT). Also, you may run into trouble with WP:COI. Editing material about a subject to which one has close ties is often frowned upon, and editing material directly about one's self is strongly discouraged (although neither is out-and-out forbidden). I would suggest that you start by proposing the changes that you wish to be made (preferably with references that back them up) at Talk:Mentors (band). Another suggestion would be to seek out User:Colinclarksmith. (It seems he now goes by "CCS81", but the link I posted will still get you to him.) He's an experienced editor who has done a lot of work on that article (although not so much lately), and I've seen him helping others who were involved with the band on that very page. I hope this helps, and I look forward to continuing this discussion on the article's talk page. Regards, Joefromrandb (talk) 06:15, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
