Important Notice

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Information icon Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election for general discussion of the topic or other unrelated topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you. ― Tartan357 Talk 11:45, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "MRMAGA2000", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it seems intended to provoke emotional reaction ("trolling"). If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. ― Tartan357 Talk 11:49, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning of NPOV

[edit]

Your feedback was received, but since we don't allow general discussions on "Talk" pages, it was removed by someone else and so I will respond to it here.

It's important to remember that Wikipedia is a global project, created by people all over world who speak every language imaginable. Our neutrality is very different from neutrality in the sense that you mean. We don't aim to be "half-way between the US Republican Party and the US Democratic party", we attempt to summarize reliable sources from a neutral point of view.

In answer to your query as to why we don't have a corresponding page for the 2016 election, its because there was no widespread effort to overturn that election. Feoffer (talk) 04:36, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
