Hi
I noticed you were interested in getting adopted. Would you like me to adopt you? Ғяіᴅaз'§Đоом | Spare your time? 01:48, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- I would like that very much, thank you for the offer. Obviously, I can be contacted onwiki, but you can also find me on IRC as MJ94. Where should we start? There are a few things I'd like to ask you before we focus on editing. Thank you again for offering! :) MJ94 (talk) 09:28, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, you're welcome. First I want to see your ability in identifying stubs, copyediting etc. Go to my user page and click the Things you can do box and find articles requested, create the article that you'd be comfortable with, make sure it's well sourced and fact-checked, when you're done leave me a message on my talkpage and I'll review the article. Also if you would like to one day be an admin you must have confidence in administrative tasks such as WP:UAA and WP:AIV and your ability to identify Vandalism and warn the offending users. But first I'd like to see your ability to write good quality articles. When you're done and if there are interesting facts you might like to nominate it as a WP:DYK hook. Thanks! Ғяіᴅaз'§Đоом | Spare your time? 00:18, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I will get on that soon. I would just like to inform you that medical issues are currently present in my life. This means, as of right now, my time that I spend editing must take a back seat to my health. Thank you for your understanding. Also, if you can poke me on IRC, I'm on as MJ94. Thanks again for your time. MJ94 (talk) 00:39, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Ok then, get well soon. I look forward to your work when you get back :) Get well soon! Ғяіᴅaз'§Đоом | Spare your time? 02:21, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Don't forget to add attribution for everything you use, such as your editnotice. Just a friendly poke :) Ғяіᴅaз'§Đøøм | Tea and biscuits? 08:47, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- Actually seeing as you do have some experience in dealing with vandalism I am going to give you a choice of what task you wish to undertake, they are article writing, WP:CSD tagging (identify that the article meets the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging), article issues and stub-tagging, content review or nominating an article or picture for Did You Know, On this day, Today's Featured Article, Valued Picture et al. Looking forward to your work! Get well soon! Regards, Ғяіᴅaз'§Đøøм | Tea and biscuits? 11:05, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- I currently am working here. :) MJ94 20:54, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

You should prove your edits before you put a Level 1 warning re. vandalism to a user who made useful changes! So you should warn yourself for vandalism. Gerald SchirmerPower (talk) 11:53, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

You reversion of my edit to Dallas Mavericks
Hello, thank you for your warning. I removed the text for the reason that I gave in my edit summary, it was a massive block of text, primarily about the player and not the team. It also causing several cite errors and repeated material already in the article. After Cluebot undid my edit I filed a false positive report and undid Cluebot. Now I will go back and undo your edit, I think my edit is a constructive edit. Please take at least a few minutes and consider before you revert me. 24.34.148.49 (talk) 06:05, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
MJ94, when you patrol the recent changes, removing blocks of text isn't necessarily vandalism. I suggest you take some time to actually acquaint yourself with the history of the article before inappropriate reversions. On a side note, don't template the regulars. Your actions at Dallas Mavericks were highly inappropriate, so I ask that you don't assume forthwith that a negative character change is an automatic indication of vandalism. Think about the time it took for a good-faith editor to make changes and the matter of seconds in which you review the changes and deem them either good or bad. It comes out very unbalanced in this case, where you made two consecutive reversions without reviewing the edits. Goodvac (talk) 06:23, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- I realize the reversion was incorrect. It was simply a mistake caused by hurrying. I plan to be more careful in my edits. Also, I realize it may have taken a goodfaith editor some time, and me a matter of seconds. Luckily, it can easily be reverted. Thank you for the note. MJ94 (talk) 06:33, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Animal Rescue Foundation
Hello MJ94. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Animal Rescue Foundation, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: given URL predates article, unclear what text is copied. Thank you. Kimchi.sg (talk) 00:16, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Only the first two sentences are substantially similar, and since the press release is older than the article by 2 years (article text hasn't changed since 2005 whereas the release dates from 2007), there is possibility that the press release copied from our article and not the other way round. BLPPROD declined
Hello, I've declined the BLPPROD you placed on Miloslav Mečíř Jr. because the article was referenced. Please note that only unreferenced articles may be tagged with BLPPROD. I've declined the BLPPROD on Blaze (Christian rapper), it did have one ref. I know, I know... Still. I've PRODed the article until a CSD criteria is found. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong? 00:25, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

- Gladly. The BLPPROD tag says that a BLP has no references. As in zero references. This article DID have one, so I had to decline the BLPPROD and replace it with a regular PROD. The link above is a ref from the article. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong? 00:32, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- (I don't need a talkback for everything ;). It's no problem.) Allmightyduck What did I do wrong? 00:33, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) I see. So an external link can be counted as a ref, too? MJ94 00:35, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Isn't a ref an external link? It doesn't need to be inline, but it still is a ref. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong? 00:40, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the explanation, and sorry for the confusion. MJ94 00:43, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Much respect for your efforts!!!
Truly, and I mean that. I tried, but after this (and a later remark): "Nevertheless, i will start to use the templates MOST OF THE TIME unless i feel the user would benefit from a personal note. And i do not wish to be adopted because I know a lot about the rules of Wikipedia. I invite you to look at my contributions. Ok thx." I decided I had to give up.
I just gained an adoptee who I just helped rescue from AN/I without a block... things have went from downright terrible before the AN/I to amazingly decent by the halfway mark until now. So, maybe just some more patience is all your project requires. I hope so - the motives are right, even if the actions arent. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I've got much respect for you and your efforts in this, and you can call on me any time if there's anything I can do to lend a hand. Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. — GorillaWarfare talk 01:38, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
help
Hi, I noticed you've helped out with Tao Lin, a page that's in bad shape, as noted by the tags. Unfortunately, they as well as chunks of editing have been removed by either the subject of the article of his supporters or just someone whose editing haphazardly. Either way, for some reason I can't revert them, and thought in the meantime maybe it outta be locked. You have more proficiency with this so thought I'd ask.
