Notability of Introvert (band)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Introvert (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - Fordan (talk) 18:49, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ed Matus' Struggle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, MBoudet. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Sword and Scale, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Some things[edit]

Hi MBoudet. You seem to be currently involved in a dispute over article content and are having other issues as well.

  1. Please carefully read through Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide and familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's position on conflict-of-interest editing. If you're who you're claiming to be, the you do have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest with respect to anything written about you on Wikipedia. Even though Wikipedia doesn't expressly prohibit such editing, it does highly discourage it and expects those who do to adhere to relevant policies and guidelines. While you might feel that you've been setting the record straight by removing certain content from Sword and Scale, the way you've been going about this is not productive and will make it harder for others to help you resolve any concerns you may have. A discussion about the article has been started at WP:BLPN#Sword and Scale and other editors are now getting involved to try and help sort things out; so, please be patient and give the Wikipedia community a chance to respond, and refrain from any further editing of the article (even edits made while not logged in). The Wikipedia community takes the concerns of living persons who have things written about them on Wikipedia quite seriously and will take steps to remove any content it finds to be inappropriate; at the same time, however, properly cited content which complies with relevant policies and guidelines is not going to be removed simply because it's negative as explained in WP:LUC. You can comment in the BLPN discussion to clarify any of the concerns you have and how you feel the content doesn't comply with WP:BLP.
  2. Assuming once again you are who you claim to be, you really should declare your conflict of interest both on your user page and Talk:Sword and Scale as explained in WP:DISCLOSECOI. There's a good chance that your edits are going to be seen as paid-contributions, so you should carefully read through WP:FCOI and follow the guidelines there. It's very important you do this because a failure to properly declare any paid contributions to Wikipedia can lead to your account be blocked per Wikipedia's terms of service.
  3. You can use your real name as your username if you like per WP:REALNAME: in some cases though an account which appears to represent a specific, identifiable person, particularly someone with a Wikipedia article written about them or their activities, may be WP:SOFTBLOCKed as a precaution against damaging impersonation. You can avoid this from happening by emailing Wikimedia OTRS and verifying that you are who you say you are. This will make it clear to other editors that you are the Mike Boudet who created and hosts Sword and Scale and not someone else pretending to be you.

If you've got any questions about any of the above or anything else related to Wikipedia, you can ask them below or at the Wikipedia Teahouse. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:37, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

March 2019[edit]

Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:Satani may be offensive or unwelcome. In general, it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing others' userpages without their permission. Instead, please bring the matter to their talk page and let them edit their user page themselves if they agree on a need to do so. Please refer to Wikipedia:User page for more information on User page etiquette. Notification messages belong on a user's talk page ("User talk:[...]"). Perhaps you meant to put your notice there.
