Explanation

[edit]

Y'know, I really thought that template:Whydidyoudothat would address all the questions I get about this.

First, read that template. Second, as for the merits of your draft: I have assessed it as a valid draft, not as a valid article. (Yes, there can be such a thing as a non-valid draft which requires deletion.) I've just reread your draft, and... well, honestly, I'm not really someone who can judge whether a draft on a cryptocurrency properly shows notability. I don't think your draft is ready to be an article: there are too many cryptocurrencies, we don't have articles about all of them. They don't achieve notability just by virtue of existing (unlike, for instance, cities or species); can you show us any media coverage of this cryptocurrency? Not media coverage which incidentally mentions it, but which is about it? DS (talk) 14:09, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve CoinJoin

[edit]

Hi, I'm Ironholds. MARIODOESBREAKFAST, thanks for creating CoinJoin!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The notability of this isn't clear; please add reliable sources, rather than reddit threads and similar.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Ironholds (talk) 23:22, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article CoinJoin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability - one RS (Wired), two other third-party sources that aren't accepted as evidence of notability (Coindesk), the rest is entirely primary. Has apparently been this way for years now - hasn't improved in that time. WP:BEFORE shows negligible coverage outside bitcoin blogs, many of which are pay-for-play outlets.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
