I am leaving out of dissatisfaction and I am following the Trumpian advice of a Wikipedian after I criticized the fact that one Wikipedian is responsible for reviews and can arbitrarily reject an article without substantive justification: I'm going back to where I came from. As an emigrant, I never expected to receive this kind of advice online. He even added the "No one is stopping you" part. That's completely right, Wikipedian! Bye-bye!

Deleted post: I'm no longer active on the English Wikipedia, deleted my profile, and have followed the advice of that Wikipedian who suggested I should go back where I came from, including the phrase 'no one is stopping you'. In my daily life, as an immigrant, I sometimes hear that too when I have substantive criticism. I guess it's easier to chase someone away than to provide a substantive counterargument. I find it a shame that there is such a dominant and arrogant Trumpian atmosphere on this platform. When you return to a volunteer project after years, you don't want to be addressed as an unreasonable schoolmaster or be forbidden by Wikipedians to talk to someone. I also saw Wikipedians who keep a scoreboard on their profile with the number of rejected or deleted articles. That pretty much sums up the vibe here.

There was nothing secretive about my removal of your logged out whinging? Please take any issues to WP:ANI Theroadislong (talk) 20:05, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Theroadislong. I no longer have a user account (user 'Hey man im josh' deleted it for me, as you can see on my former user page), and I am no longer active on the English Wikipedia. However, people continued to respond to my posts. I decided to reply in that thread to explain the situation. You then deleted that message, even before the people I was responding to could read it. I don’t consider expressing criticism to be 'whinging.' During the time I was active on Wikipedia in other languages, I never experienced such a negative atmosphere. I provided that feedback (with examples) in the hope that people would do something with it. I wish you the best.
