Disambiguation link notification for May 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shahzadpur, Haryana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page English. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

So, you recently put an A3 tag on an article Lil Juan. See WP:A3 to read the rules on the placement of that speedy deletion template, notably:
- Don't use it on new articles.
- Don't use it if the page has only an infobox.
Thank you! GabetheEditor (talkcont) 13:50, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
Thank you very much for warning me. I'll try to be a bit more careful. Adem20talk 15:29, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please return to this article: Jvs Sri Chaitanya Junior College, and include a rational for the PROD you tagged. Several concerns have been expressed about your new page patrolling - if you continue to make too many errors you may be asked to stop patrolling pages. I took back the changes I made on the page you specified. --Adem20talk 09:07, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]You might want to review the A1 criteria. "If any information in the title or on the page, including links, allows an editor, possibly with the aid of a web search, to find further information on the subject in an attempt to expand or edit it, A1 is not appropriate". The source I added is literally the first g-hit.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 13:01, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
Patrick Smith
[edit]I'd appreciate if you could either delete or edit heavily the Patrick Smith part of the youtubers list I made a mistake and didn't realize if you could do that it would be great thanks. 21vromano (talk) 15:47, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
It seems you did not notify the author of the issues you tagged. It seems also that this article should probably have been tagged for deletion. Concerns have been expressed several times about your page patrolling. Please try to get it right or you will be asked to stop Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:34, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Your speedy edits
[edit]Hi Adem20! I see that you try to do edits on Turkey related articles. So, you add WikiProject tags to articles. However, you do this so fast that you don't allow the creator of the article to add the WikiProject tags by himself. It created "Edit conflict". Please be patient and wait some time in the future. You can just check the user whether he has experience enough to do it by himself. Thank you. CeeGee 11:08, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Adem20. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created, as you did at Arya Nandini. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. - MrX 15:28, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- Adding my amazement as that was very bitey and you could not have searched for info w/ which to improve article in that length of time.Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:13, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
Thank you very much for informing me. --Adem20talk 16:15, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- U R welcome. However, you always say that after posts about your errors, including inappropriately A3 tagging. The behavior continues unabated. I'm pinging @Kudpung: to see if they have further input as they have raised similar concerns and warned you earlier.Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:20, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
I apologize for all the old things I did. I will not use the A3 tag again. --Adem20talk 16:23, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

The article Turan Falcıoğlu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No indication of notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JTtheOG (talk) 04:35, 20 May 2017 (UTC)
New Page Review - Newsletter No.4
[edit]Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 806 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!
But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

[edit]Actually, BLP does not apply. Since the obits are reliable sources that he died he is not subject to BLP--it sometimes applies to the recently deaf for a year o two, but not 5. The problem is that the key material is about his books and journalism, and though it is present in the obits, it has to be actualy written in the article. This would need to be done by someone who knows Turkish--the GTranslate is not clear eough about titles and Englsih equivalents. The education is a good start, but the article has to be finished. Blanking pages
[edit]Hi Adem20, you seem to be blanking a whole bundle of of pages. Do you want me to help you get references, so they can be returned back into userspace. I can spend the next couple of months to help you find references, if you want, and showing you how you can construct an article which won't be deleted. scope_creep (talk) 11:26, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
I want all the pages I created in the draft space to be deleted. --Adem20talk 11:32, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
[edit]Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.
Technology update:
- Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
- The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:
- User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js adds a link to the new pages feed and page curation toolbar to your top toolbar on Wikipedia
- User:The Earwig/copyvios.js adds a link in your side toolbox that will run the current page through
General project update:
- Following discussion at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers, Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Noticeboard has been marked as historical. Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers is currently the most active central discussion forum for the New Page Patrol project. To keep up to date on the most recent discussions you can add it to your watchlist or visit it periodically.
