The article Xavier Autrey has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. I have tidied up the article to make it easier to read and understand, but it still needs referencing. Ideally, every fact should be properly cited. I have carried out a Google search on him, but cannot find any useful links. There are however, several negative references to him, such as his arrest on tax fraud[1][2], his alleged mis-management of AHMSA[3] and his links to George W. Bush[4]. Some of this should be mentioned in the article, which presently makes him out to be a paragon of virtue. I have not added the arrest into the article as it was in 2004 and to be balanced, should be brought up to date. Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 06:41, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note - there is no doubt that Mr Autrey meets the level of notability to have a wikipedia article, so there is no danger of the article being deleted on those grounds. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Abbey Road. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Lucyconlon. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

@Walter Görlitz: I have NO IDEA how to reply to you or if yu will even get this as there is no "reply" button only a "talk" button so here goes....but I am simply making sure that as TWINS IN THE SAME BAND they have the same discography. Am I really supposed to RETYPE everything? Wouldn't common sense just let me copy and paste it? I got it. You can also leave a {{talkback}} template on my talk page, but {{Reply to}} has become the preferred method.
The twins' articles do not need to be the same, but if you want to include similar, or even the same content, be sure not to duplicate it without checking. After this edit that you made there were two paragraphs that started "Nelson co-founded the Stone Canyon Records", two sentences discussing their cover of "Jingle Bell Rock", along with the rest of that paragraph. The next paragraph was a duplicate as well. The only new paragraph was the Ricky Nelson Remembered show, which was formatted incorrectly. None of the content included the references from other article, and of course the last had none so it made sense not to copy its reference. The crime can be explained by an appeal to copyright law. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gunnar Nelson (musician); that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.)
