Edit Warring at Caporales article

[edit]

Warning: You may be engaging in edit warring in the Caporales article. Please refrain from deleting material without discussing things on the talk page. Best regards.--MarshalN20 | Talk 02:15, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have protected the Caporales article for 3 days, and I expect you to discuss the edits you are making. I see MarshalN20 has made an effort to bring it up on the talkpage; if you don't talk it out on the talkpage, and continue to revert after the protection expires, I will block you for edit warring. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. I tried to avoid blocking you by protecting the article so you and MarshalN20 could discuss things. Despite an invitation from both of us to bring it up on Talk:Caporales, you pointedly ignored our advice and continued reverting. When this block expires, if you continue to disagree with the contents of the article you must discuss it on the talkpage. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 21:13, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
LucMar, I honestly don't understand why you bothered to create a user account if all you're going to do is vandalize the project. Please stop doing edits such as the one you have recently done (again) on the Caporales article ([1]). The article is clear in presenting that the dance is Bolivian, but no reason exists as to why you want to erase the fact that it is danced in other countries (mainly by Bolivian immigrants). Regards.--MarshalN20 | Talk 19:44, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Caporales. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 22:28, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
