I believe you recently passed this article for a GA on 16 June 2006. I am hesitant to place the GA tag on the article or edit any of the GA collateral pages as I'm the primary contributor to said article. Would it be possible to help me finish the process? Thanks a lot. I'm sorry if this causes any convenience. JaKaL! 18:09, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

I-355 shield request

Hi Lpangelrob,

I have done many of the three-digit Interstate shield images on Wikipedia (in addition to Interstate 190). The image is based on the work of Atanamir who did most of the California three-digit shields. I recently finished all the shields for east-west interstate spurs and am now slowly working on those for north-south spur routes. To answer your question, yes, I will make an image for I-355, and hopefully for all spur routes in the Interstate system that are left to be done. I am currently at I-35 right now so hopefully I'll have it done before too long. : ) Bumm13 03:17, 22 July 2005 (UTC)

NH-118

At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/New Hampshire Route 118 there is a VFD debate. --Rschen7754 03:16, September 13, 2005 (UTC)

Road stubs

All of the following made their way to WP:SFD:

I've started this page to discuss naming conventions; please weigh in and help. --SPUI (talk) 18:02, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for saying what I was trying to say in a much more clear fashion :) RasputinAXP talk contribs 22:01, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Storms of March 9-13

Thanks for the added information! I've been so busy with the tornadoes that I never really got to finding those...but all the severe weather since Thursday in the central and eastern US belongs in that one article. CrazyC83 20:31, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks - I have never added photos before and will have to test it out. I will also try to get photos from other areas affected. If photos for the tornadoes without separate sections are added, they go in the damage box - an example is in the Evansville Tornado of November 2005 section. CrazyC83 22:07, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Illinois shields

If you can get a copy of sign M1-I100 from the IDOT version of Standard Highway Signs and send me a scan, I can make SVGs to the specs. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 13:58, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

TfD nomination of Template:N9jig-il-shield

Template:N9jig-il-shield has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. --Carnildo 04:09, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

State highway naming conventions again

My worry is that SPUI has made it clear that he intends to ignore whatever naming convention comes out of any consensus-gathering process and will continue moving pages unilaterally to conform to the convention he prefers. The process has become so messed up at this point, with aborted votes and people acting on their own and everyone shouting back and forth, that I feel that the best chance we have for a peaceful resolution at this point would be to start the whole thing over: present arguments, hold discussions, vote, and determine consensus on a strict timetable, and ask everyone participating in the process to pledge as a gesture of good faith that they will abide by whatever decision emerges. User:Rschen7754 has been developing a proposed process for this here. Is this something you'd be on board with? --phh 20:39, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Forte de Chartres

Thanks for nominating my the article Fort de Chartres as a good article! I wrote and illustrated the original and therefore have a paternal interest in it, though it's been much improved by others along the way. As far as I know, this is the first of my babies to be so nominated. (BTW, I do agree with DavidH's remarks on the article's talk page.) --Kbh3rdtalk 22:02, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Route marker

There may be some minor placement issues, but it seems accurate. Of course getting the actual specs is still preferable, but I understand if that's not possible.

However, with three-digit shields, there seem to be several different styles. Can you identify which photos on [1] are the newest? --SPUI (talk - RFC) 21:59, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Question...

How did you get the IDOT guy to respond? Whenever I've tried to email someone at Caltrans it goes unanswered. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 02:51, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Illinois

  1. Do you expect to get the specs, or should I start making SVGs? If the latter, can you identify the current standard for three-digit?
  2. Should I start moving to "Illinois Route X"? --SPUI (T - C - RFC) 18:33, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

You can do the rest, unless you convince Curps to turn off his fucking blockbot. --SPUI (T - C - RFC) 18:57, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

NICE. Thanks a lot - I'll get to work. Is it OK if I link to your scan in the image description, or would you prefer that I don't? --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 20:50, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

It turns out, except for .1 inch in the border, my earlier shield was spot-on. --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 21:07, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

OK, I used a template for it, so if you wish that your scan is not linked to, you only have to edit that one template. --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 21:22, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Wisconsin

Nice - I'll get to work. --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 00:30, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Here's the first one. --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 01:42, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

I'dlike to know what to dowiththe pictures that arestill inuse and tagged with it? Should I rm them from pages and delete them too or wait until they have been properly replaced? For the time being I'mskipping them. You can leave a note at my talk page or at Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Holding cell once they are all replaced, don't remove the template until then, so I can find and delete the pics properly. Circeus 15:59, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

There are only 4 images left. I can handle that ;-) I'd just want you to leave a note somewhere I can see it once they're done. Circeus 21:30, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Cats fed by a single template are deleted alongside it (in much the same way we automatically delete talk pages of deleted pages.) Circeus 23:59, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

The article sums up pretty much all of the biographical and personal information known about this person. I hardly think it can be qualified as a stub and per your statement on the talk page I request that you reconsider its Good Article status. Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 15:06, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

DYK!

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article numerical system, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Thanks for your contribution! ++Lar: t/c 20:15, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Interstate cats

I've just been making them as I felt like it - I don't see a reason to restrict it to major ones only though. --SPUI (T - C) 00:35, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

By the way, do you have a photo of a new bike route shield? I may be able to construct it from the old specs (which are online). --SPUI (T - C) 00:38, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Nice - there's a photo on the last page. I should be able to do it. --SPUI (T - C) 02:01, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

VandalProof 1.2 Now Available

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:52, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Indiana

Nope - that's not enough for state shields. --SPUI (T - C) 21:20, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Got ride of a lot of sections and gave it a good copyedit :) Judgesurreal777 20:58, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
