Thank you for your support

Unfortunately, my RFA was closed recently with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your support and I hope I can count on it in the future. Even though it didn't pass, it had a nearly 2 to 1 ratio of support and I am quite encouraged by those results. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns that were brought up and resubmit in a few months. My RfA

Thank you for participating in my "RecFA", which passed with a final tally of 153/39/22. There were issues raised regarding my adminship that I intend to cogitate upon, but I am grateful for the very many supportive comments I received and for the efforts of certain editors (Ceoil, Noroton and Lar especially) in responding to some issues. I wish to note how humbled I was when I read Buster7's support comment, although a fair majority gave me great pleasure. I would also note those whose opposes or neutral were based in process concerns and who otherwise commented kindly in regard to my record.
I recognise that the process itself was unusual, and the format was generally considered questionable - and I accept that I was mistaken in my perception of how it would be received - but I am particularly grateful for those whose opposes and neutrals were based in perceptions of how I was not performing to the standards expected of an administrator. As much as the support I received, those comments are hopefully going to allow me to be a better contributor to the project. Thank you. Very much. Upper and Lower Table Rock

Hello, I am feeling a bit of writers block over Upper and Lower Table Rock. I want to add something to the geology section but I am out of ideas. I don't mind writing some content if you have anything I can go off of, and heck I am willing to travel if need be too. I feel FA is around the corner for this article. Hi, I have some notes jotted down in my sandbox (it's a mess, I know). It's all info from the book called The Table Rocks of Jackson County: Islands in the Sky. I had to return it back to the library, so I got all the info I could. I'm not sure where else we could find more information, maybe visiting the BLM office or something? I will try to get up the Lower Table Rock and grab a few pictures of the airstrip. In some of the history, a road is talked about leading down through the bowl of Lower Table Rock from the strip. I found the collapsed section with a missing marker plaque and I have been trying for a couple years to find out what it could have said on it. I was at the BLM office once but they don't have much info at the front counter, probably need to get an appointment to talk to anybody else. SOU might have something going on.

I have tossed you a picture of that VOR on Upper Table Rock. Those who make it to the top of the trail and see that thing off in the distance may appreciate the up close shot. I am going to look for some more info on that I think. ZabMilenko 00:13, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Pilot Rock names

Over in Upper and Lower Table Rock there is this ref, which on page 73 lists two similar names for Pilot Rock predating the settlers. I'd add it but I don't want to edit conflict your work right now, so feel free or I'll get it later. ZabMilenko^{How am I driving?} 16:42, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

I went up this morning, but once again chickened out near the top. I got a handful of pictures I am looking through now for something better than what I put up before. Side note: Nancy Ames Cole was in the news lately about the huge "Sky King Cole" land reclaimation property up there. Panos

Hey there. Thanks for the compliments on my panos. I use the photomerge function of Photoshop CS3 sometimes but my go-to program is PTgui. Photoshop does a pretty good job and it works with RAW files, so normally I will try the more straightforward panos there. For the heavy lifting I go to PTgui because it is easier to make adjustments before the stitching begins and the "batch stitcher" does a better job of pushing the stitching to the background and allowing me to do other stuff on the computer while it is doing its thing.

User:Diliff's amazing panos are what really inspired me to make stitched panoramas, and his advice pointed me to PTgui. Before trying PTgui I tried out Hugin but had some problems (if I remember correctly PTgui did a much better job of blending colors). Hugin is free so you should probably start there. PTgui has a free trail. I have not tried any software since the beginning of 2007 and a lot has changed since then. Here is a fairly comprehensive list of software tools http://wiki.panotools.org/Software.

My advice to those new to stitched panoramas: Read lots (http://wiki.panotools.org/Tutorials is a good place to start). Use the manual setting of your camera and shoot using Raw image format. Use a tripod. Let me know if I can be of any more help. Thanks, Cacophony (talk) 02:54, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually, that's my signature from a while back, and it violated the length restriction too. Here's an option that works: Bball lova ⁹⁹ (The code is this:
