The article City of Chester by-election, 1940 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unremarkable special election.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ...William 19:42, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 9
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Brighouse and Spenborough (UK Parliament constituency), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Liberal Party (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

UK Election result formatting
[edit]Hi LT, I have just undone your last edit on the Peterborough page where you changed the results shown from one format to the other. I did this for two reasons; Firstly, I prefer the individual format and secondly because this format is I think far more common. It is not ideal that there are two different formats and perhaps at some stage in the future, this issue may be addressed. I'm not sure if the wikipedia UK elections project has a policy on this subject but I doubt it. Graemp (talk) 15:21, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
Scottish election result formatting
[edit]Hi Lit, I see you have started on Scotland. I have followed the use of the label Unionist Party (Scotland) rather than Unionist Party (UK) for results from 1912-1965. It comes out as a different shade of blue, which is nice. Graemp (talk) 20:25, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

The article John Appleby (Liberal Democrat (UK)) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Deletion discussion about Klaus: The Devil's Primate
[edit]Hello, Literal Democrat,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Klaus: The Devil's Primate should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Klaus: The Devil's Primate .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Constituency results 1950-73
[edit]Hi LitDem, I've been doing some systematic trawling around to see where Devon constituency results 1918-45 need to be added and have spotted some 1950-1970 gaps that I thought you might want to put on your to-do list; Torquay, Plymouth's Drake and Sutton. Graemp (talk) 08:31, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Candidate forenames 1951-1970
[edit]My main source for adding candidate forenames is The Times House of Commons series which also include the election results for each constituency. The results for 1950-70 are available on-line here; http://tools.assembla.com/svn/grodt/uk/thc/files/marked_up/ This source is the source used by Richard Kimber's site http://www.politicsresources.net/area/uk/edates.htm which I think is the source you are using. I mention this because you might want to use this source instead as it provides you with the forenames for 1951-1970. Graemp (talk) 10:47, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
National Liberal
[edit]Hi LD, just a heads-up with regard to any election tables between 1947 and 1966 that you create. Rather than use the label National Liberal Party (UK, 1931), you can now use the label National Liberal Party (UK, 1947) which I have just created. The difference is that the 1931 version displays the shortname Liberal National and the 1947 version displays the shortname National Liberal. This enables us to be more historically accurate with our descriptions. There is no change in colour. Graemp (talk) 17:09, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
Bridlington (UK Parliament constituency)
[edit]Hi Lit, I see you are in the process of adding results here and notice that you are currently adding in reverse order. Given this is a historical constituency, you may want to flip your additions to preserve the chronological sequence. Cheers. 12:43, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
Houghton-le-Spring (UK Parliament constituency)
[edit]Hi Literal Democrat, I have inserted the Houghton-le-Spring (UK Parliament constituency) 1920s election results for you. It would help enormously, when you are adding result for 1950-1970 if you included the full names of the candidates from here http://tools.assembla.com/svn/grodt/uk/thc/files/marked_up/ This would save me the trouble. Thanks. Graemp (talk) 10:58, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
Please stop re-adding the table your version of the council composition table, it contains errors and is in the wrong place. I have corrected the table and moved it to Brighton and Hove City Council elections. The election results articles are for the election results for that block of elections only not bye-elections or defection commentaries, those go on the Brighton and Hove City Council elections page.
