Control copyright icon Hello LiXuanze, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Canada has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:52, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Kim Jong-un.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. LiXuanze, please stop contributing non-free images with false claims that you are the copyright holder, and adding existing non-free images to articles where they are not permitted under the terms of fair use and our non-free content criteria. These are very serious problems which can get you indefinitely blocked from contributing here. Please also stop edit warring to keep these infringing images in articles, or to keep your preferred versions of non-infringing images. This is also unacceptable behaviour here. Please respond to this message to indicate that you've read and understood it, and have also read and understood the three policies I just linked to. —Psychonaut (talk) 09:09, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop replacing good quality images with poor quality images. You've already been blocked for this, next time you'll be blocked for a much longer period of time. Consider this to be your last warning. IJA (talk) 12:44, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Cyprus shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 18:42, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

LiXuanze has been blocked twice in the past for this sort of behaviour and is fully aware of what it means to edit war. The fact that LiXuanze is involved within 24 hours after the end of the the editor's most recent block shows that this block was not sufficiently long enough for LiXuanze to learn from it. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for continuing exactly the same kinds of unacceptable image uploads which led to your earlier blocks. If you are to be allowed to edit again, you will need to indicate that you understand what is wrong with what you have been doing, and that you will not continue in the same way. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:52, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
