Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Lekkio. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article SeaHash, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Hannibal Smith ❯❯❯ 01:39, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to SeaHash, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you.
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Scrypt, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Failure to cite a reliable source. If you feel your edit is covered by existing citation, then explain clearly in edit summary. Hannibal Smith ❯❯❯ 02:58, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
The article SeaHash has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hannibal Smith ❯❯❯ 22:38, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Widefox; talk 08:49, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Hello, Lekkio,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Elmidae and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, XxHash should be deleted. Your comments are welcome over Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/XxHash .
You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Elmidae}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!
