Legobot
I think Legobot may need a kick... It hasn't updated WP:GAN in over 20 hrs. Dana boomer (talk) 19:47, 1 May 2014 (UTC) (P.S. Although I'm whining a bit here, I do want to thank you for all the work your bot does - it's invaluable at GAN and in other areas, as well.)
- Should be running now. My bot's crontab got wiped ([1]), so I'm getting it back to running again... Legoktm (talk) 20:54, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick reply and quick fix! Dana boomer (talk) 21:23, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
- On the subject of legobot, I was just wondering how far along the FAC bot request we are. There are quite a few pages to be archived/updated (it messes up a few templates and looks a bit unprofessional generally when these things are left open); if the request is waiting for someone to do something, should I do another manual run-through while we are waiting, or would that slow down matters for you? The template merge discussion that I previously pinged you about has just been closed. It looks like we will be merging {{Non-free reduced}} with {{Orphaned non-free revisions}} so your script should still work, except it doesn't remove the template tag (at least not for me). I've also just discovered a better way of handling these (thanks to User:Sven Manguard) where we could be deleting just the file content (basically changing visibility of a revision on page XXX: content hidden). This would preserve the upload history while meeting the requirements of WP:NFCC. If images are ever nominated for deletion, the original uploader (not the smaller use) would get the message as opposed to the bot who does most of this work. Are these things that you can tackle for us? Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 21:48, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- If you could just make it delete the new template tag from the description page as a start, that would be immensely helpful. Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 01:52, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
- Done. I'll look into the revdel thing now...shouldn't be very difficult to do. Legoktm (talk) 03:14, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
- @TLSuda:, script is updated to use revdel now. Let me know if you run into any issues :) Legoktm (talk) 03:53, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
- You are the best! Thanks! Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 14:09, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
- It seems to be successfully removing {{Orphaned non-free revisions}} when there is a date stamp in the template, but not when there isn't a stamp. Any reason why this would be? Is this something you could fix when you have the chance? Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 03:10, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Small Error on Legobot's User Page
Ahoy.
Just wanted to point out a small mistake on Legobot's page. Task 26 is showing as 'On Trial', however per MBisanz shouldn't it be marked as 'Request Expired'? Or have you left it as that on purpose? Considering it was over a year ago it seems a while to leave it. MM (I did the who in the whatnow?) (I did this! Me!) 16:30, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Can you give TFA Protector Bot a lump of sugar from me?
Or a glass of oil, or a bowl of wire - whatever it fancies, really. It's just that it's been offline for a few days now and I wouldn't want it to be feeling alone and unappreciated. My continued thanks to you both, BencherliteTalk 23:08, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
- Done, sorry about that; tool labs crontabs got wiped a while back and I forgot to restore TFA Protector Bot's. I have a few plans on better uptime monitoring...just haven't had time :/ Legoktm (talk) 01:34, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
A task for Legobot
Hello Legoktm. I am interested in developing an archival template similar to {{Fa top}}, but tailored for GA nominations or reassessments. Once the template is ready, will you be able/willing to task Legobot to substitute the template on the appropriate page to be archived, perhaps initiating the appropriate included parameters based on how the review closes? If so, is there anything paramount that I should ensure when developing the template to facilitate a working relationship with your bot? Also, would you be available to assist me in any capacity during the development phase? Or, is this simply a bad idea in your opinion? Thank you for considering this matter. I look forward to seeing your reply.—John Cline (talk) 19:36, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Blps
A tag has been placed on Template:Blps requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 07:55, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

Defacto Ban of IpH95
Since he is defacto banned, can please I tag him as "banned" to allow other users to know about his current status, so that they can revert all of his edits on sight? LightandDark2000 (talk) 08:36, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Why does it matter if the account is tagged or not? I feel like you're still missing the point of WP:DENY... Legoktm (talk) 08:44, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I understand it, but if he was actually sincere about his request, he may stop once he sees the notice. Even if he doesn't, the sign would allow unfamiliar editors to know that they can revert his edits on sight without further warnings, and other admins would be able to block him on sight. Your script isn't revdeling or deleting like it used to. Any reason? Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 21:27, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- It looks like a Wikimedia error every time I try to revdel manually. The message is PHP fatal error in /usr/local/apache/common-local/php-1.24wmf5/includes/revisiondelete/RevisionDelete.php line 642:
Cannot access protected property RevDelFileList::$deleteBatch I don't know what to do with that information. Thoughts? TLSuda (talk) 01:16, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
- I'm a bit late, thanks for filing a bug in bugzilla for this :) Legoktm (talk) 04:06, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- After many years of trying to understand the bug system, I finally figured it out. Thanks for looking/commenting/working on the bug. You have intelligence way beyond what I could ever have. Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 13:16, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- When you get a chance, could you please look into your script again. It seems to only be removing the {{Orphaned non-free revisions}} tag when the template includes the date parameter. Otherwise it leaves it behind. Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 17:39, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
