Thanks. Could you take a look at the links here [1] and see if a range block may be possible. Happening every day. Blethering Scot 23:42, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
- Investigating. The range is probably 92.0.224.0/20 (4096 users), but I'm looking to see if there are more IPs before softblocking, and probably checking with a CU. Legoktm (talk) 23:50, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Since you implemented pending changes about 12 hours ago, there has been nothing but reverted vandalism/BLP violations. I therefore put in semi-protection for 6 months. I would have asked you first, but, from your contribution history, it looks like you're off-wiki. If you disagree with my action, feel free to do whatever you think is appropriate. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:55, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Super Mario World Page
Why is the Super Mario World page closed to new editing? =(CarterRios (talk) 00:18, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
- @CarterRios: I had to temporarily protect it due to a large amount of vandalism coming in from new users, and your account isn't old enough yet. For the time being, you can add
{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the talk page and another user will help you make the edit, or just wait until the protection expires. Sorry about the inconvenience. Legoktm (talk) 00:22, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Blocking of Ragterminate
I would think that at most, a short cooling off block would suffice. user:Ragterminate seemed convinced that he was correct. At most an edit war. See the conversation on User_talk:Jim1138#You: Grumpy cat is a munchkin... Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 08:17, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

WikiProjects watchlists
Hi legoktm, A while ago you g enerously offered to help with WikiProjects watchlists. Since that time I have edited many project pages to take advantage of this. However, it has been my experience, at least recently, that the watchlist produced lags by about 12 hours. See for example here: Wikipedia:WikiProject_United_States#External links. I wonder if you know why that is? Thanks in advance, XOttawahitech (talk) 14:25, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre
Hello! Now, some of you might be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along. A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk) This message was sent out by --EdwardsBot (talk) 01:03, 4 June 2013 (UTC) |
About the deleted article John Alexander Armstrong
Dear Legoktm,
I am the author of that article. I am the author of the article. I have made a few amendaments of this article to ensure it will not violate any copyright rules of wikipedia and my latest update was around 06:30, 4 June 2013 (UTC).
Is there any possibilities to check and restore this article again?
Thank you. 子罕 (talk) 06:57, 4 June 2013 (UTC)子罕

About the Quotation of John Alexander Armstrong
The reason I keep the long quotation from J. A. Armstrong is because his theory usually causes misunderstanding and over-simplification and this quotation coming directely from his later work seems to be a appropriate source for readers' proper comprehension. But I notice the length of that, and I will try to make it briefer. Thank you for your suggestion. 子罕 (talk) 23:03, 5 June 2013 (UTC)子罕

Regarding this, I don't think they're all down, as I'm still seeing ClueBot NG functioning with reverting edits. However, I do see that there hasn't been an edit on that project page from one of the HBC AIV Helperbots since 8:02 AM PT, so there's definitely something wrong with them. I took a look at their block logs, and they're not blocked. I believe this is the second time this has happened. If you recall, in early April 2010, there was a software change on MediaWiki, which caused the HBC AIV Helperbots -- and I think all bots -- to go down. Maybe it's something similar this time? - Amaury (talk) 04:36, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Hey Legoktm, Thanks for performing a recent IP block on User:99.253.124.79. Hey, could you re-block Windows Phone 8 from editing? A bot just removed the protection and the conflict hasn't been resolved yet. Thanks Gamer9832 (talk) 21:15, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- Well none of the people warring have gone ahead and started warring again, so I will hope that they wait for the conflict to be resolved before editing that part of the page. I've watchlisted the article so hopefully I'll spot it if it starts up again, otherwise just drop a note here or at WP:RFPP. Legoktm (talk) 06:32, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

CSD Deletion
Hi Legoktm - I'm not sure whether Todd Glass awful prank show that you CSD'ed met the criteria for CSD G1. It clearly states that it is a feature on the television program Tosh.0 and a quick Google search shows that it is indeed a segment on the show. I'm not sure how this falls under "patent nonsense" or "incomprehensible"? --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:55, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for catching my mistake. I saw the title and glanced that the article and didn't actually think there would be a show called the "awful prank show" (I really should have Googled to check...). I did mean to use G3, just misclicked on the G1 selection in the dropown menu. I've gone ahead and restored it. Sorry about that, Legoktm (talk) 21:02, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- No worries, I just happened to be looking through the open CSDs at the same time and was checking Google for evidence of the show when *poof*, it was gone. That being said, I stuck a PROD on it as it doesn't appear to meet any notability criteria for inclusion. At the end of the day it will most likely be deleted, but it shouldn't be as a G1.--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:06, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for locking the article. But you have locked a wrong version. I suppose that this version of 9th June should be locked. The blanking of sections started happening after that. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 03:44, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, regardless which version of the article I protected, I'm pretty sure it would still be the wrong version. At this point, I'm not planning to revert or restore any specific version unless their is consensus for doing so on the talk page. Legoktm (talk) 04:27, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
- At the AFD of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Persecution of Biharis in Bangladesh, the nominator makes the point that the article should be deleted as it is duplication of our subject article. - Hi! I second User:Dharmadhyaksha, the revision prior to the AfD would be the perfect revision, since they began to remove the contents when the AfD started, without any consensus. Keeping a wrong revision may affect the AfD. --Zayeem (talk) 06:44, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Deletions of WikiProject subpages
Hello, Legoktm. I have a question about some deletions you made to some WikiProject subpages, such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Conservatism/Recent changes, Wikipedia:WikiProject Connecticut/Recent changes, and Wikipedia:WikiProject Hawaii/Recent changes, on May 25. The purpose of these pages was to assist WikiProject members with keeping an eye on changes made to articles within their WikiProject through the use of Special:RecentChangesLinked. I'm not sure how often WikiProject members actually used these pages, but I occasionally looked at the one for WikiProject Connecticut and was the one who worked to have it created. My question is, are subpages of this type, which seem to me at least to help the encyclopedia, somehow against Wikipedia policy? Or did you perhaps feel that the subpages were unnecessary or unused, as the "G6: Housekeeping and routine (non-controversial) cleanup" reason given in the deletion logs suggests? Just curious, that's all. Though if you believed the pages were not serving a useful purpose, perhaps WP:MfD would have been a better choice than G6 deletion. —Sgt. R.K. Blue (talk) 02:30, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I actually didn't just randomly delete them, Kumioko tagged them since the bot that used to update them had stopped, so the lists weren't being updated. I then went ahead and deleted them. Also, there have been a few Toolserver tools which recreate the same experience (Dispenser's, Tim1357's, etc). That said, if you want one of the pages undeleted, I'd be more than willing to do that. HTH, Legoktm (talk) 07:05, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- My apologies for not responding sooner, but I had a busy past few days. Thank you for explaining about what happened to the pages. I hadn't known before that Toolserver had tools available that worked to serve the same purpose. Seeing as these tools work fine, I do not need any of the subpages undeleted.
- Thanks again, —Sgt. R.K. Blue (talk) 00:37, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Huon
Why did you decline Huon. He made vandalism by removing the mottos in one of the edits NewFranco (talk) 06:13, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. Huon is not a vandal, his edits were well intentioned, and he explained them on the talk page. This seems to be a content dispute, and so discussing it on the talk page is the right way to go. Legoktm (talk) 06:15, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
That page...
I submitted a request to protect Williams' page on RFPP, but I was wondering if you could protect it, because it's a losing battle at the moment. Thanks! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 01:38, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- Already Done. Legoktm (talk) 01:38, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

- @A7la Cute: Hi, I can't rename your account, but you can request it at WP:CHU. Legoktm (talk) 16:50, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
Hallo there. I have been working on the United Kingdom local elections, 2013 articles recently as well as sorting out the preceding articles along with help from User:Pilchard. My Query is with regard to the Isle of Wight Council election, 2013. I am aware that you were the administrator that deleted the article Island Independents, I request that it is reinstated on the grounds that it is a proper political party, indeed they have recently formed an administration on the council. It seems necessary that they are reinstated. I am sure you deleted the article for some form of procedural reason and that the article was possibly insufficiently sourced. I would like to be able to sort the article out but the warning message on the edit has told me to contact yourself. I hope that you are able to help. Many thanks. - @ConsciousKipper: I restored the article and tweaked the PROD tag as if it were tagged today. Let me know if you need anything else. Legoktm (talk) 01:06, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. ConsciousKipper (talk) 09:05, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Would it be possible to maybe hide the summaries by the IP? It's nothing inappropriate, but looking at all those gibberish capital letters can be an eyesore. =) - Amaury (talk) 01:37, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- While certainly annoying, I don't think they meet the criteria for revdel since its not actually offensive, nor overly disruptive. Legoktm (talk) 01:42, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Thanks for the swift response. - Amaury (talk) 01:49, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Island Independents
Hi there. I noticed you restored Island Independents, despite the fact it was deleted when I - the only author - requested deletion. Bit confused as to why you've restored it. Look forward to your clarification. Redverton (talk) 02:06, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- @Redverton: Ugh, I think I got confused between usernames. I thought the person above (Special:Permalink/561640501) was you. My bad. As far as technicalities go, I think anyone can technically request reversal of an uncontroversial CSD, which it was in this case. Sorry about the confusion, Legoktm (talk) 02:13, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- No worries. If he wants to have a go at creating a proper article, he's free to. Redverton (talk) 02:16, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Revert on my talk
Thanks! I appreciate you removing this abusive message but just for kicks, I decided to keep it. I appreciate you helping me, though. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 08:48, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
