I have some questions regarding copyright of images at Talk:Regional_variations_(television) Lee Stanley 13:27, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, this isn't fair use, since not only would it be republishing TV schedule data (which is amazingly strict), it's also copying a copyrighted magazine. We can't justify this, so it isn't fair use. -- 9cds(talk) 13:29, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Channel 4 Edit

[edit]

You recently edited the article on Channel 4 and changed the NTL number from 4/104 to 104. As discussed in the Talk section, this is because on the Channel 4 is channel 104 on the Langley platform and 4 on the Bromley platform. Because I dont have NTL, I was wondering if this edit showed the channel numbers on both platforms had be changed to 104. -Coolmark18 16:01, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And you'd be right - Lee Stanley 18:07, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Digital Spy Userbox

[edit]

Hi there. I have improved the userbox. You can now add your username you use on Digital Spy to the userbox. Just add {{User:Tghe-retford/Userboxes/Digital Spy|example}} replacing example with the username you use. Regards. --tgheretford (talk) 20:36, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Axm prod.

[edit]

Axm currently gives no assertion of notability, or indeed any information except two sentences. As you contested my prod of this article, I'd like to ask you to improve this article so that it is more informative, references, and asserts its notability. I would rather an improved article than an AfD.

I'd also like to invite you to join WikiProject LGBT studies. We are a group of editors seeking to improve LGBT related articles, and we would be delighted to have you on board. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 23:47, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I'll certainly try to add to it in the near future. - Lee Stanley 23:59, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NTL/Telewest channel listings

[edit]

Hi Lee!

You've done a great job of this: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Lee_Stanley/Sandbox Have you published it more formally elsewhere? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blue Basin 49 (talkcontribs) 11:58, 10 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

No, I had intented to create a page from it at link to it once NTL and Telewest articles had been merged. Thanks for bringing it back into my mind - I've created a Virgin Television channel line-up page. Lee Stanley 21:06, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spoken article

[edit]

Hi. I've noticed that you appear to have been working on converting the article ITV into a spoken version for over six months now, according to your entry on the In Progress section of Wikiproject Spoken Wikipedia. If you are no longer working on the article, please either remove yourself from the list, or notify me so I can do so, so other editors will know they can work on the article instead. If you don't reply within a week, I will assume you are no longer working on the article. Cheers, H4cksaw (talk) 22:03, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed myself. Sorry I have not been able to help, and thank you for reminding me. -Lee Stanley 19:21, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article List of channels on Virgin Television, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Non-free use disputed for Image:Siren logo wikipedia.png

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Siren logo wikipedia.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 14:44, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stagecoach Navbox

[edit]

Hi, though I would be interested in helping unfortunately I don't seem to find the time to visit Wikipedia that much these days (hence the fact I've just got your message!) so I can't really be relied on I'm afraid.  :( --Ayrshire--77 08:32, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Siren logo wikipedia.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Siren logo wikipedia.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:43, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It has been replaced. -Lee Stanley 18:27, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. Hm. Where did you request that? I haven't programmed the bot to *not* deliver. I believe, though, that if you add {{bots|deny=SatyrBot}} to your page, the bot will not edit it. I think. I haven't really tested that much, though I *have* added the programming. -- SatyrBot (talk) 01:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Siren FM, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. Notice

The file File:FastTicket OffPeakDayS-Man-Not.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
