Question in regards to archiving a User Page

Hey @LaffyTaffer, We haven't met yet but I was just surfing around some edit history pages and found you. I really like the way you archived your 2024 talk page. I was wondering how could I do something similar for my own talk page? Middle Mac CJM (talk) 19:52, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi @Middle Mac CJM, I don't think what I ended up doing was standard, but I wasn't able to get the automated archive tools working.

I ended up placing {{annual archive}} at the top of User talk:LaffyTaffer/Archive 2024 (per that template's instructions), then cut and pasted my talk page into there. Finally I put {{archived annually}} at the top here. I have a suspicion that doing it manually is going to come back to bite me eventually, but I hope that helps! Hey thanks for letting me know that it doesn't go with the header but please don't remove the cites all together. if you can replace them somewhere and let me know, as its a lot of research to find and putting down the citations :) NormadicEditor (talk) 14:30, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
