Vandalism

[edit]

User Александр Ашкаров keeps making the same vandalizing edits on the Genocide of Serbs page. Three times now. Can the page be protected or the person blocked? They are vandalizing other wiki pages too it seems. They seem to be engaged in historical whitewashing. 74.101.190.2 (talk) 16:19, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed their removal of sourced content yesterday. I will file a report if they persist. I hope that will not be needed though. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:43, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. They have done it on three different days so far. And either me or Tuvixer have to step in as another editor seems to be fine with the removal.74.101.190.2 (talk) 17:12, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Beteja e kosovës

[edit]

Kreshnik Prizreni (talk) 10:42, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. We should only use English in our discussions due to the rules. Can you tell me the name of the article in English? Is that one: Battle of Kosovo? Ktrimi991 (talk) 10:56, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, yes it is about Battle of Kosovo and is not an article. It is a video of an Albanian journalist who tells the real story from old ottoman and croatian books. Kreshnik Prizreni (talk) 20:58, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I will check the Battle of Kosovo soon. Ktrimi991 (talk) 18:07, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great Migration of the Serbs

[edit]

Hi, could you review my lates edit to the article? Im not sure if the source is stating that the Serbs fleeing Krajina itself is compared to migration or just the photo. Or if this should even be in the article at all? Thank you. MaloPoMalo (talk) 17:08, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I will soon check it. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 17:23, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Great Migrations of the Serbs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Leopold I (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Second opinion

[edit]

We have one article Bookocide in Croatia based on sources from portals and these sources are mostly political pamphlets. In it events from 1990 compare with events from 1941-45 and Nazi NDH. I'm interested in your view. I have read a lot of articles but I have not read an article like this. We have one comment here.[1] Thanks. Mikola22 (talk) 05:35, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Oy Thank you for the advice mate! If possible, I wanted to write some of them and post them on the Albanian wikipedia. It turns out that one is very much underworked on, and so I want to contribute there. How can I get ahold of his articles? Or am I barred by any rule i dont know of or smthn like that? How shall I proceed? Cheers Atlonche (talk) 20:52, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again @Atlonche: it depends on whether the article got deleted or not. For Fa alk's articles that did not get deleted, you can easily translate them in Albanian and post on sqwiki. For the articles that got deleted, you can ask an admin, whoever you feel better to ask, to give you the sources Fa alk used. If you get the sources, you need to write the article from scratch and post it on enwiki or sqwiki. Sqwiki badly needs work and more editors to do that, so one of the good options would be for you to start by translating Fa alk's articles that "survived", since translating usually is easier to do than writing from scratch is, and the articles that got deleted had less notable topics. If you need more help, do not hesitate to ask me. We can also discuss on your talk page on sqwiki, where I will place a welcome template. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 21:50, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me! I dont know how free ill be this week, but im thinking about translating a lot of articles actually, not only for albania related topics but other general stuff as well. Also, can I translate articles for all subjects on wiki? Do I need permission from those article creators if i translate their work or will a reference to the Original source be sufficient? Cuz if thats the case then bloody hell I sure am up for it! I appreciate your willingness to give me adivce, and I hope I can help the cause! Cheers mate have a good one! Atlonche (talk) 22:03, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome. Wiki is a collective work in progress, so editors should help each other. You can translate any article you want, without asking for permission etc. Just do the translation. Ktrimi991 (talk) 22:07, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just one thing what are the rules like in sqwiki? If say i get blocked (if there are blocks idk) will my articles get deleted or merged? And one ladt thing, can a user for example like faalk be blocked in enwiki but unblocked on sqwiki? Because if he wants to edit those himself possibly i dont wanna take the mans hands of the wheel so to say. In the meanwhile i hope i cam get my laptop fixed so i can get to work. Flm vllavi and have a good one. Atlonche (talk) 22:21, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, there is no reason why you should be blocked. Even if one gets blocked, articles are only deleted if the account was a sock (WP:SOCK). Fa alk can edit sqwiki, but I do not see any reason to believe that he plans to post there. Ktrimi991 (talk) 22:28, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Khirurg (talk) 22:47, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

^ not gonna lie that was a funny way of joining a convo. Well anyways yall have fun resolving that. Best wishes @Ktrimi991 thanks again Atlonche (talk) 22:59, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is his habit to do such things. He keeps doing so although he got sanctioned several times. Best wishes to you too, and feel free to ask for help whenever you need that. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 23:08, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Don't give fake warnings

[edit]

You have four reverts at Lukove in the last few days, so if anyone deserves a warning, it's you. I really wouldn't revert again if I were you. Khirurg (talk) 16:01, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Khirurg: I have not breached any rule, nor do I breach if I make another rv. Anyways, other editors have opposed the addition, so I am waiting to see what they will do. I plan to add a Name section, and the Slavic origin of the name and the historical presence of Slavic elements there is well-discussed in scholarship. And do not call me "bully". If I were "bully", the consequences for both you and Sulmues would have been dire. Instead of conflicts, better focus on things that matter. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:11, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You make threats even as you deny that you are a bully. "Consequences"??? Care to elaborate? Let's hear it. Be aware though that ArbCom has been notified (by email) about your past behavior and are watching. Khirurg (talk) 16:20, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If I wanted to discuss that with you, I would have done that long ago. But yes, if ArbCom is willing to contact and discuss things with me, why not? After all, it was me who got involved in that conflict without my permission. And both of you and Sulmues produced enough evidence. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:31, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ahahahaha, "evidence". You have left a lot of evidence too, Ktrimi. Many people know exactly what you are. So no more threats from now on, ok? Now how about you go ahead and create that name section at Lukove instead of just talking about it, so we can be done with this whole thing. Khirurg (talk) 16:44, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, no. Do not take this as a threat. I am a peaceful person. I am telling you to not call me "bully" with no good reason. The big reason why I did not report immediately is that the admins seem to not be willing to get involved in such things immediately, and the process seems to take a long time. In my early days I tried to get admin attention to someone who openly made threats on my talk page, but the lack of immediate attention by admins was disappointing. If you really notified ArbCom, hopefully they will be willing to see the evidence and take action. (Redacted) Both of you and Sulmues best stay away from conflicts with each other. There are better things you can do. And do not call me "bully" again. Indeed, I have proven that I am the opposite. Ktrimi991 (talk) 18:30, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea what you're talking about, but we both know that if you had anything, anything, you would have ran to the admins as fast as you could type. And as far leaving threats on userpages, that's your specialty. You had best not even think about that anymore, because things have changed now. I know you know what I'm talking about. Now how about you do something productive for a change, and go create that "Name" section at Lukove you've been talking about. Khirurg (talk) 19:18, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No worries Khirurg, you do not need to accept anything. The evidence was a bit difficult to gather, but now I am waiting for ArbCom to contact to me. You notified them, did not you? I have done nothing bad. Even I had done what you accuse me of, I would get a temporary topic ban that could be easily undone after a few weeks or months. On the other hand, you could get a permanent ban. Unlike you two, I do not make threats of the kind of "I will tell your wife" or "I will tell your colleagues". In your threats two very serious and respectable instituions were mentioned to make threats. I respect people and institutions, so do not get me again involved in your childish conflicts with the other person or call me "bully". Bye. Ktrimi991 (talk) 19:54, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Best to read up on some relevant literature. Implications of being able to out are just as bad as the deed if they're specific enough. Primefac (talk) 01:31, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you again for your modification @Primefac:. Hopefully I will not be again involved in anything that I am not interested in without my permission, especially off-Wiki stuff such as conflicts. Tense situations arise, and one can write more than intended. You did good with the deletion. Ktrimi991 (talk) 23:15, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hounding

[edit]

Stop hounding me, like you did here [2] Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 15:17, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see you keep accusing other editors of "hounding", while others have actually accused you of doing that. If you see any "hounding", take it to AE. Wait, admins warned you to not weaponize that place. Then, take it to ANI/I. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 15:20, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Haha; not that good of a spin, you can do better. I might do it at some point, as there is enough material, and I see that's not the only concern other editors had recently, based on this very TP. Enough from me about this instance of clear hounding, which was not denied. Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 18:52, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Based on your long history of accusing other editors of "hounding", I very much doubt you want to make a report. I would like the opposite to be the case though, as accusations without present evidence are not a "spin". Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 18:57, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

myth of skanderbeg ??

[edit]

What myth are you talking about skanderbeg? He is an historical figure. [1] I saw some of your sources which did not even mention the word Skanderbeg and yet you are using them as sources.

Please show me what is so "mythical" about skanderbeg? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pasuria (talkcontribs) 21:23, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Pasuria: they are not my sources. It was not me who added them there. The article had several issues, and I tried some time ago and made some content addition on the Arbereshe folk traditions, the myth's natural origin etc. The topic of the Myth of Skanderbeg is covered by academic sources, that in Wikipedia's standards, based on WP:RS, are reliable and useable. Hence I reverted you. If you see issues with particular sources, explain your concerns on the article's talk page, and more editors will be able to give their input and participate in the discussion. Autopatrolled granted

[edit]

Hi Ktrimi991, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! TheSandDoctor Talk 04:26, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
