File permission problem with File:Monroe Culinary Campus Photo.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Monroe Culinary Campus Photo.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 21:40, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The same tag has also been applied to all the other uploads you have made. In all cases the permission from the copyright holder needs to be produced. Nthep (talk) 21:44, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your image uploads

[edit]

All of your image uploads have been tagged as missing evidence of permission. Please understand; we're not trying to be harsh to you. However, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. You have acknowledged these images were not taken by you, but were sent to you. This does not constitute evidence of permission. We must have a copyright release statement from the copyright holder, and this must be submitted to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Failing that, these images will be deleted. You appear to be closely affiliated with this college. Grab a camera or phone that has a camera and go around taking pictures yourself. You can then release them under a free license and upload them here. It's easy to do. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:48, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

June 2014

Information icon Hello, I'm ElKevbo. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ElKevbo (talk) 15:14, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than continue to edit war, please discuss your edits in the article's Talk page. I've even started a section there for this topic. ElKevbo (talk) 16:20, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Monroe Students.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Krrose. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Monroe College, you may have a conflict of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:19, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
