Just stick to the standard of the coaches poll so that we don't have two teams ranked #12 on the standings charts. Even espn can't decide what poll to use http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=282980023 Ryan2845 (talk) 05:17, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of David Richmond (Major), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: David Richmond. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Kookface! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 5 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Bård Torstensen - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Jocke Skog - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  3. Eric Weaver (musician) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Nate Jackson (comedian) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Improper categorization

[edit]

I wanted to let you know that NBA player categories, such as Category:Dallas Mavericks players, do not get added to articles of players who only played in the summer league for them. You added the above category to Omar Samhan (see here) incorrectly. If he ever appears for one minute of one regular season NBA game for the Mavericks, then that category is applicable. I wanted to let you know so you can avoid doing that to other players in the future. Jrcla2 (talk) 18:12, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dale Rogers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to meet WP:GNG, which requires multiple sources of significant coverage from independent sources. Significant coverage is limited to San Jose Mercury News or affiliated papers. The rest is WP:ROUTINE coverage from game recaps or trivial mentions leading up to a game.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Bagumba (talk) 18:17, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jacoby Jones, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AFC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scott Williams (musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ways to improve Asif Ali (American football)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Willsome429. Kookface, thanks for creating Asif Ali (American football)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please convert the bare urls to citations, then the page looks good.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 19:03, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Removing BLP citations tag as I have removed all dead links and sourced the appropriate citations for verification. The issue was, the official websites of the AIF professional franchises, (Stockton Wolves, Cal Eagles), were inactivated once the franchises dissolved, hence the dead links. Thanks for curation User:Willsome429, much appreciated.

Question on possible Conflict of Interest

[edit]

What is your relation to Asif Ali (American football)? I have noticed your username has posted a few photos of Mr. Ali with various other football persons such as Cliff Branch (specifically an image named CliffBranchandI.jpg) and Adam Tafralis and Omar Samhan (OmarSamhanwithUs.jpg labled with Mr. Ali as "myself"). It leads me to highly suspect that you are Mr. Ali himself or are close to the subject. If that is the case than you absolutely must read all information found at WP:COI. Thank you, Yosemiter (talk) 20:34, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

After finding even more uploaded images, you are almost certainly Asif Ali himself. So...

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Asif Ali (American football). Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site.
