Vancouver Is Awesome moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Vancouver Is Awesome, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 18:39, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Linking

[edit]

Hi Katie, I wanted to reach out personally to welcome you to Wikipedia. I hope your editing journey will be exciting and useful for you. Unfortunately your first few articles are not fully up to standard to be in main space. I have therefore moved them to draft and left you some notes about key policies and editing guidelines. I hope you find them helpful. Please feel free to work on your articles in draft space until they are ready to be published. Please familiarise yourself with the linking guideline. In a nutshell, article bodies should not contain external links. External links to relevant sites should be at the end of the page. External links are not be be confused with references. References are actually required to make sure statements can be validated. See WP:REF for correct referencing. Thirdly, articles will need to pass notability tests. Subjects need to be written about in independent, reliable, sources. THis coverage needs to be more than mere mention and be of substance. A related source, such as the website the article is about, does not qualify towards notability. If you have any questions, pls let me know. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 18:56, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
