Photos
[edit]Thank you for the pictures contributed about the St.Denis Ssebugwawo Secondary School. I saw that this school was in ggaba and that this article was not illustrated at all. Do you happen to have the possibility to upload some pictures about the city as well by any chance ? That would be fabulous.
In the history of the article, I found to links to some pictures about
- Ggaba Public Beach
- Landing Dock for fish canoes
- Ggaba Fish Market
However, all those links were broken. It would be so much better to have pictures of the city itself on Wikipedia ! For the record, most of the ggaba article was written by User:Fsmatovu.
Anthere (talk) 17:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for showing interest in this article, i am a new wikipedia in Uganda and would like to contribute more. I have checked the Ggaba Page and it actually looks less detailed. I think we can improve it more with pictures and more information. We did this work with a group of students from the St.Denis Ssebugwawo Secondary School. This can actually be as our next assignment. Thank you. Kateregga1 (talk) 17:50, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
Greetings from State of the Map
[edit]Hi Geoffrey, it was nice to meet you there (and Douglas at Wikimania), and I am looking forward to further interaction, especially around Zika forest and related topics, Wikidata (see the Zika corpus there) and/ or humanitarian topics. I signed up for the user group and created a Wikidata list for Ugandan women to get things started. -- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 02:17, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

AfroCine: The Months of African Cinema Continues….
[edit]Greetings!
Thank you very much for signing up to participate in the Months of African Cinema global contest/edit-a-thon, and thank you for your contributions so far.
It is already the middle of the contest and a lot have been achieved already! We have been able to get over 200 articles created in over seven (7) languages! The figures soars to up to a thousand, if Wikidata entries are included. Furthermore, there have been about 5 in-person gatherings of Wikipedians in different countries across the world to create articles about African(a) cinema!
We are very excited about what has been achieved so far, but your contributions are still needed to further exceed all expectations! Let’s create more articles before the end of this contest, which is this November!!!
- Article suggestions can be found here. You can also add to this list.
- Some notable reliable sources for African cinema can be found here. Again, this list needs expansion.
- Interested in Wikidata translation? check out the Occupation Drive, which is being led by Wiki Loves Women, in support of the contest and the project!
- Please remember to list articles you have created or improved in the Article Achievements section of the contest page, so that they can be easily tracked.
Thank you once again for being part of this global event!
Kind regards.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 22:50, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
