That's great. You are right (as it has backdrop of Indian fashion industry). I have some sources. Well, the film uses many real life incidents like Carol Gracias wordrobe malfunction at the fashion week, Madhur (the director), who does a cameo always research b4 every film and that is portrayed in the film (as he visits fashion week to research). So two are these. Some are Chopra's pregnancy in the film are taken from a real life model's life. Also, the feminism theme is very helpful. For the impact, the film became one the first few women-centric films to do good business and have a super start despite an opposition from a comedy franchise. Chopra's career reached many heights. The film is preserved by some Indian government authority. So that would be interesting. What's say?Prashant! talk 12:41, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Request for Help

Hi Friend! I wanted to create a Template for "Google Hangouts" [1], but by mistake, i created a Category page [2] . Now i want to blank/delete the Category page and move its contents to the Template Page. Can you help me do this or provide me with any links for such a transfer procedure - a set of instructions that me let me do so? Currently, i can create the Template page directly, but i want to see instead if moving this category page to the desired template page is allowed/possible.

Also, i want this page deleted asap --> Template:Latest stable release/Google Spreadsheets. This author/creator of the page too has agreed. But there has been no progress regarding it. the article have been tagged appropriately for Deletion/Redirect. But this process seems too slow to me. The first one is about Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. It is an adaptation of Stephen King's popular novel of the same name. It is about a man called Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) who takes a job as an off-season caretaker at an isolated hotel with his family. His young son possesses psychic abilities and is able to see things from the past and future, such as the ghosts who inhabit the hotel. Soon after settling in, the family is trapped in the hotel by a snowstorm, and Jack gradually becomes influenced by a supernatural presence; he descends into madness and attempts to murder his wife and son. The film was met with mixed critical reception upon release and was a moderate box office success, but later critical assessment was more favorable and it is now listed among the greatest horror movies.----Plea$ant 1623 10:03, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

2014 Hockey World Cup Qualification

Hi, let me explain you how the qualification process is so you can see why India is not yet qualified. This FIH link explains it perfectly.

If Korea wins the continental championship, as they already qualified through the World League Semifinal, that quota will be given to the next placed team in the World League Semifinal final ranking that has not yet qualified. See this chart.

Even though India is higher in the World Rankings than Malaysia, they enden 6th in their Semifinal, when Malaysia finished 5th. Therefore they qualify before India. The only way the World Ranking is taken as a tie braker is when the quota has to be given to one of two teams that ended equally ranked in their respective Semifinal. Example: When Germany won European championship, as they had already qualified, that quota had to be awarded to one of the teams that had finished 5th in the Semifinals. As Spain was higher ranked, they qualified.

I hope this explanation was clear enough. Cheers. --M&m89 (talk) 03:10, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

2013 was one hell of a year. While it gave us some great movies (The Lunchbox, Kai Po Che!, Lootera, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag etc.) and some record-breaking blockbusters (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Dhoom 3), it also gave us some really sad moments (the deaths of Pran, Paul Walker, Nelson Mandela, Farooque Sheikh, re-crimilisation of homosexuality, typhoons and cycolones like Phailin and Haiyan). Nevertheless, I ain't gonna miss 2013, so have a happy 2014 ahead! Yours truly, --Jionpedia 19:16, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Re: Move: Chennaiyin FC

Hello Karthikndr, I understand where you are coming from here in terms of the name, however, since all official sources refer to them as "FC" we have to go with "FC" unless that changes. As for other clubs, it depends. In England they use "F.C." and thus a lot of Europe and even the I-League but some clubs in say, MLS, use "FC" like Seattle Sounders FC. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 05:33, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Armaan Verma

The article Armaan Verma has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Fails WP:ENT (one notable role).

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Help decide the future of Wikimania

The Wikimedia Foundation is currently running a consultation on the value and planning process of Wikimania, and is open until 18 January 2016. The goals are to (1) build a shared understanding of the value of Wikimania to help guide conference planning and evaluation, and (2) gather broad community input on what new form(s) Wikimania could take (starting in 2018).

After reviewing the consultation, we'd like to hear your feedback on on this survey.

In addition, feel free to share any personal experiences you have had at at a Wikimedia movement conference, including Wikimania. We plan to compile and share back outcomes from this consultation in February.

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:58, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Request for name change

Hi,

I got your details through Wikipedia's list of active Asian editors, and since you are online, I am reaching out to you as a new Wikipedia member (and not user). I made an account to edit a particular page, but I realised that only auto confirmed users can change the title of the page, using the 'Move' tab. Since I do not have the privilege to do that, I was hoping you would.

My issue is with a particular page titled 'Gorakshanath' which should actually be named, 'Gorakhnath'. Understandably, this is a sinister political shenanigan that is an attempt to impose the right-wing ideology of go-raksha (cow protection) down our throats. Please change the name at the earliest, if you can. It is a serious issue. This is how it starts!

Thanks Karthik.

Hello, Karthikndr. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "List of Monuments in Gongabu".

Notice

The article Jai Shri Krishna has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

We don't generally create articles about random phrases that are sourced to a few instances where they were used. Plus, none of the sources are WP:RS

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Newsletter WikiProject Worcestershire

Worcestershire - one of England's oldest and still existing (with some minor boundary changes) ceremonial and political shires, famous for its nearly 1000 year old cathedral, the River Severn, the AONB of the Malvern Hills, some of the oldest schools in the country, England's fastest growing university, apples, pears, cider and cricket, and of course its world famous sauce. The Wikiproject is now in need of some attention. Created 12 years ago, this project amassed a huge resource for editors working on all kinds of articles and categories related in some way or another to the county. Kudpung is more or less retired from Wikipedia getting on for 2 years ago and it would be good if a group of editors could get it up to date and continue to maintain it.
