Speedy deletion nomination of VSS Mani
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on VSS Mani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. S0091 (talk) 17:12, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on VSS Mani, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

[edit]Hello Karnish 16. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Karnish 16. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Karnish 16|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 10:03, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @331dot I have not got any payment or I am working on this for payment.I am not doing paid promotion or anything like that .
- I am doing this for Mr Lucas Roh he is in technical and cloud computing domain from many years and still he is not on wikipedia , So creating a article on companies he has nurtured might seem good option before creating his page to me. Karnish 16 (talk) 10:59, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- What do you mean you are doing this for him? I will inform you that now is the time to be completely open and honest about any connection you might have with Mr. Roh or his companies.
- Note that it is possible for companies to merit articles but not the person who founded them, and vice versa. One doesn't flow from the other. All that matters is that they are shown to meet the notability guidelines for companies or the notability guidelines for people, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources that discuss what makes the company or person important/significant/influential, not just merely summarizing their documented activities. 331dot (talk) 11:08, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Mr. Roh has founded hostway (Hostway) and I have used hostway services in my personal capacity and I am really impressed with his work and vision.Affinity is in news recently as it has acquired global firm and there are lot of reliable articles over internet and hence I want to use it as reliable source of truth for article. Karnish 16 (talk) 11:18, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- So you work for Justdial, but you aren't editing about clients, even though you've only edited about entities that would benefit from SEO/marketing efforts? I just want to know if that's what you are saying. 331dot (talk) 11:31, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- You've edited about your employer, you will need to disclose as a paid editor in that regard, even if you aren't editing about clients. 331dot (talk) 11:35, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yes but editing right information irrespective of employer or any other page is ethical when sufficient evidence is provided right , Yes I will disclose it but i havent got paid for that though ! Karnish 16 (talk) 12:45, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Paid editing does not require specific payment for edits. Otherwise every paid editor would deny being specifically paid to edit. You edited about your employer- since they pay you a salary, that is paid editing. You will need to make this disclosure soon, see WP:PAID for instructions. This is a Terms of Use requirement. 331dot (talk) 15:42, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Ok Thanks for explaining , Now I got the context , I will make changes in that particular page ! Karnish 16 (talk) 05:38, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
